Ok, so i just got back from the movies and let me say it really was AWESOME! F*ck what the critics say, it's a must see. I have a few minor critiques for the film, but otherwise it was really strong...and it definitely lived up to the hype/anticipation. Though it may not be exactly what some were expecting, it definitely did a really good job especially considering the fact that there is/was sooo much buzz around it. The ending really shocked me and I was really surprised when we found out who the killers were...I felt that it was just a little short, no? Or maybe I was just enjoying it too much. After the movie, i also noticed there were some holes in the plot..but maybe that will be used for sequels following...if there will in fact be any.
One smart thing I think the producers/Craven did..was include certain lines in the trailer that weren't in the actual movie. I also think it was really smart of them to pay homage to the original as they did. The first death (the one after the credits in the beginning) was really gory...a bit more than i was expecting. (trying not to give any spoilers) Overall, a really good movie. It kept me on my toes and I actually got scared quite a few times. I think everyone in the movie did a really good job, too..great character development and actors.

All up I really enjoyed it, and am convinced Neve Campbell is some kind of wizard. She still looks like she's in her 20s!
