OK.CO.UKHUNDREDS of Sex and The City fans flocked to Leicester Square this evening to catch a glimpse of New York’s fabulous four.
Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays sex columnist and fashionista Carrie Bradshaw in the hit six-series sitcom, did not disappoint her fans.
The star of the hugely anticipated chick-flick Sex and The City: The Movie turned heads on the red carpet in a pale green strapless dress by Alexander McQueen and trademark killer heels.
Sarah's statement head-gear, which consisted of a large acorn cup, green rose and butterflies in a gravity defying arrangement secured her status as a pioneering style icon.
Despite rumours that some cast and crew members might boycott the world premiere because it wasn't in New York, all four leading ladies swapped the Big Apple for the Big Smoke, and seemed genuinely happy to be there.
Cynthia Nixon, who plays cynical lawyer Miranda Hobbs opted for a slightly safer black number, with a racy plunging neckline.
Whilst Kim Cattrall who plays scarlet woman Samantha Jones, wore a stunning-off-the-shoulder red dress.
Kristin Davis, better known as demure Charlotte York, looked radiant in a red dress and cream platform heels.

Die-hard fans of the single girls' sitcom set in the Big Apple began to arrive outside the West End Odeon in the early hours of this morning.
Londoner Charlotte Chapman, 18, who arrived at 8am, said: “I am in love with the show. I think they are great actresses - I idolise them.
“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I’m so happy [the premiere] is in London, not New York. It’s such a great opportunity.”
She added: “I love Carrie and Miranda, but I love Sam too - she is hilarious!
“If I had to pick a favourite it would be Miranda. She’s got a great sense of humour and she’s natural.”
Although most of the crowd were young women, there were a few male fans. Among them was 23-year-old Adrian Cole from Dartford, Kent.
“I want to meet the girls. I love it. My favourite is Kim Cattrall - she’s so good looking,” he said.
Asked what his friends thought about him being a fan of the hit show popular with female fans, he said: “My friends think I am on the other bus but as long as I know I’m not, that’s all that matters.”
The plot of Sex and the City: The Movie has been closely guarded but rumours were flying today amongst the Leicester Square throng that a character dies.
But like most SATC fans, Kate Collister, 23, from Clapham, London is hoping for a happy ending.
“Apparently, Steve cheats on Miranda, but I hope they stay together and I hope Samantha and Smith get married. I hope they all just live happily ever after,” she said.
The movie charts the characters’ lives four years on and is released in cinemas nationwide on May 28.
