Shearling

I'm a little shaky right now, just dropped $3600 on the Burberry Aviator. I'm like an alcoholic that just fell off the wagon...I need to talk to someone but can't talk to anyone I know because they'll freak out on me at the price!
I'm actually kind of nauseous, but excited to get it.
All autumn bloggers were posting cheaper alternatives to it, but none of them even came close otherwise I would have gone there.

libby that burberry is definitely expensive but it's REALLY nice!
looks so warm... i'm sure you'll enjoy it :)

libby_bee, i think its a great purchase! youll wear the coat a lot in the winter. therefore your cost per wear will be low.

i think its a good investment piece as well.

please post photos of you wearing the jacket.

libby love the shearling! you can really tell there is a lot of fluffy shearling there. i was thinking about buying a burberry too but got the rag and bone instead

I've never thought about justifying my buys to others this way. This is great for me. :ninja:

Omg its gorgeous I cant blame you :woot:
Burberry makes the best shearlin jackets

Burberry made the most delicious Shearlings this year. I scream and break out in sweats everytime I pass a Burberry vitrine with the jackets on the mannequins.
Too bad I can't afford hem
but I love them and they are definitely classic investment pieces.
my Zara one will have to do for now, sadly.

Congrats Libby. Beautiful coat.. Soo jealous! Burberry aviator/ shearling coats are the best. There just isn't anything comparable

I'm so jealous Libby!! In a positive way. Congratulations!!
So guys tell me... do you think this coat is a good investment (hey, for me 400€ is an investment!!)? Don't you think it will become too dated? What do you think? It's from Zara.

I've tried it on and it's really ME! It's darker than the picture, and has some shine. But it depends on the light. It's an exact replica of a F/W2010 coat from Burberry Prorsum. The only difference is the straps on the collar and cuffs that are not patent leather like the BP.

This is the ten times more expensive BP...

I love that jacket. Did you get it in the UK or the US? There's a Topshop here now. Is it warm? It kind of reminds me of an RO Jacket. :D
