Short hair

well i caved in and cut my hair again. couldn't stand the growing out stage..:P

i love your hair adorefaith it looks thick but works well because you have a wave to it mines thick but straight so sticks out all ways. looks like its a cute hair cut:flower:

i think i cut the sides of my hair abit too short i used the 9mm guard on the clippers and since i bleach my hair to a platinum you cant really see it if you get what i mean  thank god hair grows and im still young so im meant to make mistakes and look abit stupid sometimes:ninja:

adorefaith your hair looks GREAT!
i'd love to cut my hair short. but i know that it totally wouldn't fit me :ninja:

adorefaith, it is stunning :crush: :D does it grow fast? I love having shorter hair but I feel like I have to get it trimmed soo much more often

I got a good amount of hair cut off yesterday, though it was onyl to my chin before. I got a fringe again (after spending over a year growing the last one out... ). The front left side is to my chin as seen below... and the other side and back are very short, maybe just slightly longer than the lovely ms. adorefaith's.

Love this thread! You're all so beautiful, with fab hairdos! Way more edgy than I would dare. I'll post pictures of my "new" do when I can connect my camera. Short hair > every other style!

There were a few really beautiful short hairstyles done when they did the makeovers last week on America's Next Top Model

lovely Inaya!. it really suits you.. i would love to see the back too. i don't think my hair grows terribly fast but quickly enough that these short cuts lose their shape fairly quickly.. so yes, i agree about the frequent trimming. although i think each time i get mine cut it is initially shorter than i want it, so i can leave it longer until i need my next cut...does that make sense? it's been about 6 weeks since that last cut and it is still looking fairly good i think..^_^ i will probably be able to go another 4-6 weeks without another cut...i think..

These are wigs right? Either way, they're amazing. I want my hair like this

^I cant see your pics l-h-o-o-q :(

^^I dont really like these kind of cuts, theyre too artificial and geometric for my taste

Oh God, I'm obsessed with this thread. I LOVE short hair on girls, and get insanely jealous when I see those girls who seem to have been born for short hair (Wynona Ryder, Natalie Portman, Rihanna, Natalie Imbruglia, Sharon Stone, Audrey Tautou, Keira Knightley, Michelle Williams (gah!), Halle Berry, Nora Zehetner, yeah I'm obsessed...).

I want to chop my hair off SO BADLY, but I just don't have the jawline or the physique to pull off a very short style. My face is kind of a shapeless round blob, I have a short neck, and broad shoulders, so it's all conspiring against me. If I magically wake up one morning with a willowy neck and a stronger jawline, I'll go for these styles, one after the other!

^ I love all those styles!

I need everyone's opinion. I've had my hair short (chin length) before and really loved it. I've let it grow out a bit but want it short again. I'm getting it cut tomorrow, so i'd love some input on which short style would look best on me. OR, should I just keep my hair at it's current length. Thanks!

first of all liya you're absolutely gorgeous!!:flower:I really like the hair length on the first pic!!though judging from the second photo in which you resemble a softer freja beha I would definitely go with her haircut..you have soft feautures so a bit of a punky look would suit you very well..Check freja's thread for inspiration!

Thank you for the input! I'm scared to cut my hair as short as Freja's, although I absolutely love her hair. I'll try to muster up the courage before my haircut tonight hahaha.

im thinking of becoming a hair model at the toni & guy academy since i want to chop off my hair and i dont wan to spend £30+. my hair has been falling out crazily and it's a hassel having to tie it up all the time. it's so hard find a good short hair style, i find they are all too cliche or edgy for me. are there more romantic short hair styles like finger waves but without the dreadful perming process?

so despite my rant on how i cant find any good short hair styles in the post above, i did manage to find one that i quite liked and had it cut. as well, i also went to Toni & Guy academy and i was lucky enough to get mine for free! this is possibly the most professional and 'i dont hate the cut' result i got from a salon which in my case really isnt a salon. the teacher also asked me to go back and be a class model for her and she would do the cutting herself. im guess this one will be free as well hehe.

for those who are curious on how it happened is like this.
i went to their academy on tuesday and was hoping to book an appointment for monday but a teacher there insisted i do it on thursday because of a better class, but i think he wanted to fill the day up cause it was empty for that day. this is how i got mine for free.
on the day of arrival, there was queue at the reception area, im guessing there was around 20-30 people varying from those who want just a cut, cut+color or color only. so after the initial 'sign-in' line, we joined another line where we stand in front of the lift and a teacher ask us one by one what we want. i asked if i can get finger wave but he said it's styling not cut so i quickly showed him the picture of the bob i want and he said fine. after this a woman came over and took a bunch of us in the line up stairs to the first floor where the advanced studio is. what it is just a rather big room divided in two, very white and there are cutting stations set up in rows. when we stepped in, another woman took out coats and jackets and put them in a closet than we waited to be seated and more waiting for the teacher that was assigned to watch over a certain area come over and ask the models what they want and give suggestions. the teacher that watched over me and my assigned student is name emma and she liked the hair choice so my discussion with her was short. gradually the room start to get noisy and chaotic as the students came in. at first i couldnt tell who are the students since i was expecting a bunch of young crazy haired boys and girls but they turned out to be much older. there were a lot of male students that look like they are 40 to even 50, some younger maybe around 20 to 30. but the student i got was a woman that was relatively young and i think she's from greece. she didnt speak a sentence of english so our conversation was limited to words. so when she was assigned me to, the bum numbing process began. she first washed my hair which i dont think she was that great at since she was rather hard on my head. not to mention the sink was uncomfy for my neck. she also got my back pretty wet. this prepared me for a rough start and was hoping the cut will not turn out dreadful. i didnt have high expectation, as long as it didnt turn out horrific. every step that she did, she had to wait for the teacher to come around and check and direct her to do the next step so the cutting took a while but i entertained myself by reading or people watching. the room was chaotic and noisy the whole process so it didnt feel like there was a dull moment though my butt did get numb. the end result was great, though i think one side is slightly longer than the other but i just brush it off as 'it's the style, asyemetric'. after the process was over, the student took pictures of me for her portfolio and to my surprise, several other students asked to take my picture as well which i felt giddy and couldnt stop smiling cause it was strange being a "model" and have pictures taken by strangers. than i got my coat and left to see my friend who was near by. i would definitely go back and maybe i will try vidal sassoon academy if i want something really crazy and trendy

Your haircut is just lovely, Muxu, edgy but soft and wearable at the same time.

Liya, I second that you are absolutely stunning, and could probably look good in any hairstyle/cut. Whatever length you decide on, I would suggest cutting shorter layers in the front, as it would really highlight your amazing cheekbones.

These pictures are so inspiring, I kind of miss my short hair right now.
