I wasn't having a very good day today with Johnsons, conversely to most posts on here, I'm usually a true 6- yet with them I was almost bursting out of them, and even the 8s were a bit small, which just didn't make sense.

Their maritime style ones look really cute, and I've been wanting another pair in that lenght. But sadly they are made in a no-but cut - i.e. they are very flat in the back which makes me have to size up and even then when they fit me where I'm the widest, there is this big gap between my lower back and the shorts

Just a note, I was in Beverly Hills and this is the style capital of the west coast. All your name brand stores are here or in Santa Monica. I was down the street from Niketown and noticed a college student wearing these shorts with black footless tights. The style is definately a trend setter.

Actually that is exactly what I'm wearing at the moment as it's still too cold to wear the shorts alone. I wear footless tights with my black Zara and my grey pinstripe Johnson shorts. I also wear skirt with them.

@sadsorrystate: I had to size up on my Johnsons as well.

I adore shorts! The ones at Versace, Marni, and Johnson are just . Tailored shorts look great. So cute! I don't really like the ones at Chanel though.

I have denim shorts but they look kind of tacky, although they nevertheless look adorable when paired right. Does anybody have pictures of the old Calvin Klein high-waisted ones? I have a vintage pair in this neutral blue (not denim) but I have no clue what year they are from.

I raided my website and found two instances of shorts that I liked! The first is Anna Molinari and the other is Carolina Hererra (I forget which season the first is, though. ) They are pretty simple but I thought they looked polished, especially at Carolina Hererra.

ok, what are you girls doing to be able to fit in these shorts! lol..
i really want some and it's getting sooooooo hot. which would be the best, if i have a small waist and fuller hips. im a 26 in jeans...but definitely feel more fleshy around the thighs.

^maybe you should shorts that end right above your knee. i mean if you have big thighs, i wouldn't think that minishorts will be that flattering, IMO. try on shorts that show i bit off your thighs but not too much

i definately need to get a pair. i've been wanting them now for so long, so i should start shopping.

I'm still waiting for the couture shorts I ordered. One's in gray pinstripes, one plain gray and another in gray zigzag. Can't wait to wear them!

I do wear the "baby" knee shorts by siwy.but they are denim. it's getting So hot,and I know there will be days that I want to wear something that looks SO carefree!!!!! you lucky girls....lol
i was getting away with denim short shorts with black tights, but that isn't going to fly in 100 degree weather...lmao!

i have thighs too but for some reason the shorts make my legs look skinnier cause they hide all the big area (upper part of the thighs and butt)...
i have some pics taken of me and i was like whooa i look skinny! ill try to post here..but anyway this girl is wearing the shorts i have (however mine look shorter

This is a very nice trend i like.
Really short shorts i love (of course no hip showing ) but the longer shorts look bad on my skinny legs i think..

i bought couple of button shirts from goodwill which have more "volume" and tucked it in my shorts and paired with suspenders.. hot!!!! no hips showing there..
