I wouldn’t have picked Simone, but I really just don’t get the push for Daniel. Are we all looking at the same Burberry??? Forget the duds he keeps sending down the runway, from a business point of view, why would someone (over)pay a designer with rapidly collapsing sales at their current role?

I hope Simone does not turn Jil Sander into another "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" fest, as the one he has perpetrated in Bally.
This. I’m kind of getting paglialunga vibes with his announcement, but will have to see how his first collection goes..

Does this mean Daniel is staying at Burberry?

I feel the supposed collapsed sales may not necessarily be fair to attribute to Lee 100%. I can vouch that the production team is good, the marketing is good, the designs are good (although may be a little bit too fashiony and ahead of its time and the mismatch between its current clientele` perception and the current look by Lee?).

But I believe if more time is given to Lee and with a little bit more fine tuning of the designs here and there, shutting down of stores, cutting down of costs, Burberry may not be in the shxt hole it is at now.
So to think the guy is untalented because of the `duds he sent down the runway` situation Burberry is at now, I feel, is not entirely fair.

This is so bad omg, should have been Peter Hawkings or even Ancora guy. My dream is to see Damir Doma or Veronique Branquinho doing Jil

At least it doesn’t evoke loungewear…
Back in the real world, here we go?

I guess the clothes may end up being good (I have my doubts) but I hate this vibe for Jil Sander. It's so... teenager.

He’s so transparently trying to reset jil Sander. But like Calvin kleins reset it feels devoid of charm and background.
Those 3 images that are blue tinted with what seems like the harbor of Hamburg in the back are the best of the bunch, because they kind of call back to the idea of jil sander.
I see brands doing these weird soft launches these days, I rarely think they work. When raf redid Jil it was launched with a show that was so pure and quintessentially Jil sander - it was a breath of fresh air. Alas we live in the age of social media and armies of content and marketing specialists…
This whole vibe is dead on arrival.

It's giving HOA HOA HOA... Twilight song vibes LOL (cheap early 2010s nostalgia)

As much as I like these pre-debut images, I agree with @Norden. These soft relaunches are nice, but they soften the impact needed for the runway debut. Lots of the brand resets would benefit from staying radio silent until the runway show with the exception of a pre-show teaser 1-2 weeks beforehand.

I think if your vision is strong & clear its strong & clear no matter you show previews months before or 2 hours before a show
weak previews are result of weak visions.

Dior by JWA had multiple teaser and continued after the show to drop images to keep telling the story like it or not its confidence in the story you want to tell.

Celine Michael Rider had a invite wrapped in scarf pre show and the a show full of stuf and now using the looks of show to keep the story going

Dior is telling a multilayered story that will keep unfolding (like JWA said he has 3 years of dior ideas he want s to do )

Celine gives you looks with stuff so far no story or concept of celine men or woman.

JIL KIDS - this kids on a day city trip vision is empty and tries with mood to instill a provenance of ideas but it fails because there is no idea only a portrayal of image (not even a look)
