Well my point was that for shorter models you have to expect that their height is bumped.. so while it may say Zippora is over 5'7'' she's apparently around 5'6'' or under. (She's obviously grown since what I'm about to mention... but at the start of her career, before she was signed internationally she was listed on her mother agents site as only 5'3.5'').
(although of course, a successful career is relative)

Yes I know, it's expected for short models to get their height bumped, but in this case if you are 165 and you get your height bumped you will be what, 167? they can't bump you more than that & it's already much & your still short ... so would you be an option for an agency even if you are very gorgeous with that height? I honestly don't think so.

Being short is probably the first reason they will turn someone away ... it's just too important.
As far as the face goes ... the stats show that being pretty is not going to make any difference. It's not about being "pretty" either ... it's about being photogenic and having the right look for what is currently desired by clients. Interesting is a good description for some very famous girls ... or unusual. A girl may be very pretty, beautiful, or gorgeous or any combination of those and have the height and body type, and still won't get signed. It's a very nebulous standard as to what the bookers are looking for.
But, a very tiny percentage of shorter girls with extraordinary faces occassionally get signed. So ... you will never know untill you spend a lot of days getting in front of agents to see if you have what they are looking for. But to overcome a lack of height, you must have that one face in a million ..... merely pretty or beautiful won't be enough.

Yes models get signed after an email submission.. agencies look at them and do contact back those with potential.. its just that the email submissions you get where someone actually look great are really rare!.. but it does happen!
About height even if you are tall slim and gorgeous, the chances of becoming a successful model are so, so small. In every agency, there are those that have the height body, face but don't go off for multiple reasons.
Its even harder if you are shorter, to near impossible, but as with all freak occurrences it does sometimes happen for various reasons.
Zippora is 5'7' now. There are other successful shorties right now, Mimmi Soderstrom and Hannah Holman from the current Miumiu campaign are both apparently about 5'7 also

Actually, I don't even think that agencies like Next or Women (also IMG) take new girls "directly". You'll probably need a motheragency first and then they are the ones who get you signed abroad

There's models atm that don't have mother agencies anymore, although they didn't start just now, but yes I think she needs a mother agency but since she's saying that she can reach their company, Im supposing she lives close to them ...

actually....there was a time when Next had an open call day during the week and in rare cases they signed girls who had walked in right off the street. I'm not sure if this is still the case...but if you're game,it's worth looking into.
no! i live in taiwan, but i dont think the agencies in taiwan are what i want..
the agencies in taiwan will train models to become artistes, and their working scope will only be in taiwan
and i dont think NEXT, WOMEN, or IMG will choose the girls they want from taiwan
i believe the agencies in taiwan wont promote their girls to the companies oversea

You know that owner of "fashion" agency in Taiwan is also the owner of PMST scouting agency. so if u go to see him,no doubt he can tell u if u can make it abroad ad if u can, can place you very easily worldwide.

Yes but you need to have a mother agency in Taiwan to get eventually sign with an agency like those ... well you can do that via email then, if you can make a video of yourself & send I think it'd be great.

Then, you will need to live in NY .... and go to all the open calls to see if you can get any local representation to get started. You will have to be groomed by an agency that thinks that you have enough potential and to see if you have the "look" that the clients want ... at your own expense. They will not want to consider someone who is not already well known and requested by clients ... if do not already live in NY. They will not pay to bring an unknown model into the US to work. You have to have acheived a certain level ... a very high level, that most models never get to, in order for them to rep you if you are not living here.
