Tall women vs short women ...

I'm 5'11'' and i  it, but when i wear really high heels i think i look too weird  Besides when you're taller those extra pounds don't seem to show up as much ^_^

I'm around 173cm-170cm(depending on who you ask ahah) and complained for years that I wanted to be 180cm, to have longer legs, and then my mom said to me one day:
"stop complaining, your sister is 5'3", and shes 3 years older than you. You are lucky to be that tall. Lots of girl would love to be your height".

It's something you have to accept, because it's not ever going to change. :flower:

^are you craaaazy?:p I loved to be 173 cm! I think 180 is a tiny bit too tall though. I have friends who are 180 and it looks gorg but they always overtower everyone and sometimes look well..too tall?:unsure: Plus they look like models so it doesn't really hurt for people to think they're models or something. lol. They complain about it themselves though. When your above 170 for a girl, ur considered tall right? ;) The only advantage for being short is that you can wear heels as high as you want!:D

I have a friend who is very tall, and she still wears heels, she says she doesn't care what people think about her. And the fact she has so much confidence like that is really awesome.
Your only as tall as you feel.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread... are we debating if clothes look better on tall or short women?
I'm about 5'9.5'' and I love being tall..There's only one girl taller than me in my grade and she's only taller by an inch. I'm almost as tall as my dad and I dwarf my mom.
This probably sounds really weird but some people are sooooo cute short  They look like little dolls, I want to pack them up and take them home with me :D

In between for the win!!!

Well, I'm at least in between where I live. I'm 5'8, which is seriously the average female height at my high school.

haha, I understand where ur coming from..my guy friends are like that with me:rolleyes::p

My friend was at a fashion show and all of the other models were calling her so cute cause she was on the shorter side. They kept commenting about how they could fit her in their pocket. I was like, 'ughhh' ahaha.

I think the average height at my old high school was around 5'0" - 5'3". No joke
and for the guys, its like 5'6" - 5'9"....it must be our water..

^ I guess so... but it's probably like that, only at reverse, at my school. One of my good friends is 5'8, and he is always made fun of for how short he is!

Short girls every time!!!

I just find them so much more attractive . . . especially when they're just all round petit. I think a 'perfect' female height, for me personally, would be about 5'5" but anything between 5'3"-5'7" is a really nice height! The thing I like about small girls is that they just look so little and feminine and I just love how you can pick them up and cuddle them and stuff.:blush::p

Having said that, tall girls are very striking - you always notice them - and it really does suit some girls.

I'm 5'3.. used to hate my height but I've sort of learned to accept it. People always think I am younger than I am. It's funny also because my hands are like the size of kids' hands..
Sometimes I like being petite... though it can be frustrating shopping for clothes (which I imagine can be the case for tall people as well)

That's my only issue with being 5'2", shopping for clothes is a real b*tch. Other than that, I love being petite. It suits me, just like being taller suits others.

I think, if you don't want to be a model, being short is fine, and if you don't want to be a jockey, being tall is fine! ahah.
See! There is a job, that tall people cannot do! :flower:

I'm 100% petite. I am only 5'3 and have tiny bone structure. Sometimes I get oversensitive when people at work bring me their kid's hand-me-downs to wear, but I try and shrug it off and just smile. Incidents like this make me feel less womanly a lot of the time, but I must admit that being petite can be fun sometimes. It makes me feel cute and protected. Still, it would be so great to be tall with super long legs...even if just for a day!

i'm 5"11 and i don't think that i have 'long-legs' of course it's logic i have longer legs than somebody who is 5"4 but i don't feel like that because everything is longer, not only my legs;) I still wear heels, just because i love it but sometimes i wish i was a little bit tinie-er.

The perfect height imo is 5'7"-5'10". Women look best from 5'5"-5'11" imo. anything taller than 5'11" looks bad and it's hard to have a well-proportioned body at 6' plus. When you're short it's hard to have a well proportioned body as well as one inch off means you whole body looks weirdly proportioned.

This is very true. Technically a 5'11" girl has the same proportion as a 5'5" girl.
It's not like a 6 footer has a 1 foot body and 5 feet of legs. EVERYTHING is longer. And it's not like a 5'5" person doesn't have hardly any leg at all.
Yes, being taller makes you have longer legs, but it's also a longer torso, and longer arms (your arm span usually matches your height).
I'll use math as an example: 2/6 is technically the same thing as 1/3.:ninja:

I find all heights are fine, it's just about being healthy at your height.
ie: a 5'0" healthy weight is on the lower end of the scale, and a 6'0" should be higher up on the scale. It's all about carrying your weight with your height....
a 5'0" person at 160 is surely unhealthy, but then again, a 6'0" person at 105 pounds also seems a bit unhealthy. (maybe there are some people who are naturally thin though, don't get me wrong)Ya know?

Being "cute," and "dainty" and whatever else comes with being short isn't necessarily a good thing for a girl. There's more to life than what a guy prefers, there's also careers to think about. If you work as a business woman or lawyer, looking cute won't do you any favors... I guess it could but I would assume most females would prefer not to resort to those kinds of favors.
