Tall women vs short women ...

I'm 5'8" I love being tall.... The only down side is I'm still in school and most of the guys haven't caught up to me.

I'm 5'6 and quite happy with my height, I'm not too tall or too short. I'm able to fit regular sized clothing and shoes. The taller females in my family tend to have trouble finding shoes in the bigger sizes, so I am glad to be an 8. My bf is 6'2, so I can wear 4 or 5 inch heels and still won't overpower him.

You could try Gap. My cousin is 5'11 and goes there to get long jeans. She says they fit pretty good for her.

You know another store that's horrible for pants? American Eagle, even if you're like 5'9" the regular pants seem to pool at your ankle. Their pants are so annoying.

:@

I'm 5'2 and wants to be taller. In Asia, I have no problems getting clothings but ordering clothes from overseas is so difficult!

I hear you!. all the tall ones are taken... by tremendously short girls. it's unfair!.:ninja:

fair enough for us shorties B) atleast our tall men will substitute for our shortness:lol:

in all seriousness..I always hear that tall men prefer short girls. I see it a lot too  wonder why

there's alot of truth in that. i guess men just like to feel big. i mean, i wouldnt want a guy who's smaller than me so i guess they dont want to be with a girl whos taller than them (in or without heels).

i love to stand on my tippy toes when i kiss my boyfriend (altho im not short, im more average)

I have a friend I work with who is roughly 5'4", her boyfriend of 3 years (also have a very nice home together in my town) is 6'3", I couldn't imagine what their "personal" life is like when their together!

To be honest, (since I am gay, and all...) I prefer tall men myself, not that i'm short since i'm 5'11" nor am I flamboyant, but there's something so attractive about taller men!

I'm 5'4 with some more growing space left. I want to be 5'5 or 5'6 at the end. That's probably going to be my final height anyways, so I'm happy.

It is ingrained in them to be taller.

If a girl is taller than them, the guy feels insecure.

^hahah really I hope I find a man soon! :p

I'm 173 cm ( 5'8"11) and I'm happy with my height. It's good while still remaining common for a girl. I wish I had longer legs too, but then who doesn't want longer legs? It's all about what one is used to ! And everything is relative. I feel bigger next to a petite woman and petite next to a taller one. ^^

I love being tall. I stand out in the huge Asian community where I live, plus I can reach things easily, but also curl up when needed.I feel right at home in Eastern Europe as well!B)

I get mixed feeling about being tall. I'm somewhere between 6"1 - 6"2 and Asian (half Chinese half Hong-Kong-ese) so I stand out way too much; especially around relatives or when mingling with other shorter Asian people. I'm the type of tall that would block your view in the cinemas; on behalf of tall people, we're really, really sorry! But being tall has it's benefits too.

From a straight male's perspective, I think both short and tall women are attractive and their sex appeal seem equal to me. I also have many female friends who look taller than I am (some are biologically tall, others have heels) but I honestly don't think feel any different if I'm around taller or shorter women.

Its that idiotic "inferior" crap and men feel "demasculine"
Cause I'm 172 borderline or just of being tall in normal world(plus being asian) and my guy friends says they feel weird when I wear heels or stand next to them and I'm a cm or inch taller (or up to them with or without heels)
But really their lazy and they want to lean on us girls.

I'm about 5"4, and my boyfriend is around 6"5, 6"6 . I don't mind, and don't notice it as much anymore, but at first it was strange looking up all the time . It works out perfectly for wearing heels! Although, even if he was short, I would still wear 120's, 140's, and I really wouldn't care if I was taller than him  Although he probably would!

In my experience, I kinda feel like men prefer short women, as they like to feel "manly"

I'm 5'7.5, and honestly- short girls with tall guys frustrates me!! It leaves us with all the shorties, and when you're nearly 6' in heels, you really don't want to be with a guy that's shorter than that.

I've been told I'm the "perfect height" for a girl (I carry nearly all my height in my legs; I'm built rather similar to Sasha P, I'd reckon), but I'm pretty sure those boys were just trying to flatter me...

ETA: I agree on the American Eagle pants rant (only place worse is Hollister, which is odd given Abercrombie's decent long length pants), and since everyone else is adding the height they wished they were- I still desperately long to be 5'10 :'(

I'm 5'10.
Sometimes I could kill someone if only that would make me 3 inches smaller.

I'm 5'2, so I'm very petite. I go to school in Manhattan and when I'm on a really crowded train, I literally get elbowed in my face because I'm so short. I sometimes wonder if anyone sees me when I'm on the train  I would much rather be 3 or 4 inches taller but it isn't gonna happen, so I might as well love being a shorty. I do hate standing next to tall women or behind them because it makes me wonder, yet again, if people can see me behind the supermodel-like mannequin walking in front of me.

Based on what I'm reading in this thread, it seems that in general, partner's height is more important to women than men. But maybe that's just because there are more women responding!

I do prefer to be a little taller than my partner, but it's not a dealbreaker to go out with a taller woman. I have heard plenty of women say, though, that they won't go out with a guy that's shorter than they are.

I think to some extent this is hard-coded in the DNA.
