Tall women vs short women ...

I'm 5"5' and I have no complaints at all.
I'm asian and I think almost all of my family members and asian female friends are shorter than me. Weird.

im a little over 5'9 and used to hate it becasue all of the guys were shorter than me but now i realize it has it's benefits and the guys eventually caught up. there is this one girl at my school in my grade who is 6'3!!

im 5'11"-6' (need to check exactly) and i have super long legs (my boyfriend loves them). i adore being tall :heart:short is cute but i couldnt imagine being little. i tower over all of my best friends (they're 5'2" - 5'4") lol

hey miss legs! I'm 5'11 1/2" and my mom is 6'2" and my dad is 6'4 1/2". I'm glad to see other tall ladies out there, I too am comfortable with my height. And I am the queen of stilettos! There is nothing wrong with a tall woman wearing some sexy spikes

I find it strange that the average height in North America is only supposed to be 5'4"/5'5" for women, yet I know many more tall girls then average or short girls...

I'm 5'3 but I love my height; I think it's cute and it's convienient that I'll never be shorter than a guy, and not mention I feel cute when I hug a boy and my heads in the middle of his chest lol!

On the otherhand I've kinda always wanted long legs but who cares, I love all shoes especially ballet flats and nothing's gonna stop me wearing them!

^True true.

But I do notice that with short girls, clothes tend to look like garbage bags because they're so big. And it's harder to wear evening dresses.

Hi! love this topic!

I'm somewhere between 5.9 and 5.10 and love it. When I was younger (well, much younger, about 10 years old) I felt insecure because I was always the tallest. Among my "old" friends are some girls who are about the same, my "New" friends from university are all (much) smaller but that's not a problem anymore.

I think both has its advantages and disadvantages. I can't say that guys prefer tall girls, not at all. of course some do, but when I'm out with my girl - friends the smallest usually get most attention. And I even sometimes felt as if some (very few!) smaller boys didn't like me from the very beginning, but maybe they had their reasons beside height. Sometimes I also heard other girls say how ugly tall girls were, in a way that I could hear it , but for me that was a complement, they were probably just jealous.

About clothes: It's ok for me but I think if I was taller, it would be harder to find someand luckily my feet are quite small, I have "only" 40. I waer often heels, they make my legs look really long.

I have to admit I prefer boys who are taller than me, usually only taller boys attract me(do you say that like that? ). Having a smaller boyfriend I think would be strange! But I really look up to girls who don't care for that!

I agree with you so much, I'm 5'10 and I can't really say whether I like it or not.. I think being tall has advantages and disadvantages, but as long as you got a good proportion, it doesn't really matter what your height it

eehhhm, im 4'10 and 3/4 - almost 4 feet 11 inches  but I'm an Asian in Asia so I don't feel too out of place. I'm well propotioned though and people often think taller (like 5 feet hehehe:lol:) than I really am. I'm ok with my height and found that I could actually wear anything, even clothes from the childrens department. That is, before I had a baby and gained weight, not a lot but enough

im 5'3 and would give almost anything to be at least 5'6!! My dream height is about 5'8-5'9 though. Then I wouldn't have to wear heels and can buy all those gorgeous flats out there! ;(
Plus.. I ALWAYS have to shorten my jeans/dress/skirt!

Sucks being short..

I'm 5'2", I don't really like it, I'd love to be a good 5-6" taller. I wear heels just about everyday... When I was in Jr High/High School, I loved being considered "cute", but now it just annoys me. I feel like I'm not taken as seriously, like at work people are always asking how old I am. They think I'm an intern or something.

I am 5'2" as well. In Korea where I used to live I was one of the shortest. I don't know what they eat but they are tall for asians. (I think most of my friends were between 5'5 to 5'7)

But here in the UK, I was surprised that there were a lot of 'petite' women. I'm loving the petite section & different trouser lengths Because I always had to cut my hem in Korea. Well.. although my super short legs still don't help me at all when I choose clothes.

I don't hate my height but I don't like my legs at all. I have to wear high heels (at least 3 inch) and they are killing my knees. Ahhhh.

I do agree with you Bethy... I liked for being cute when I was student but now, it annoys me. People always ask me how old I am, or they just think I am young(almost like childish young) and can just ignore me. That became my another reason to wear high heels. Ouch, my knees... :'-(

i am 5'1.5 (156-157 cm) I dont think I am going to grow to much anymore, but I love being short. Expect for the jean thing, where you always have to take them up

I'm 5'9 and ppl usually think i'm 16.. you see, it's not only about height..

I agree! I've never bought a pair of jeans which i didnt have to fold or shorten

Looks like I'm the shortest so far...(4'11 and proud!)

I adore being 5' 3". Doll-size. It's perfect for wearing 4 inch heels! I wouldn't want to be tall.

It must be better being short than being so tall cos if a woman is too big and tall and so on,they lose their elegance and look like men or a kind of monkey haha...well my tall females are like this...no offences. So short women! They can look taller with high heels but tall ones don't have any chances to look shorter:)
