Target's Go International with Tara Jarmon

I don't like all the extra bright colors--too young. I might suck it up and get a pair of bermuda shorts. I think those blue ones would look great with gold platform heels.

i was also somewhat disappointed with the luella target collection :(
but this jarmon line definitely does have a marc by marc feel to it,i agree. which i am lovingggggg in the cute dresses, i am living in dresses this summer, i cannot wait!!!!!!!!! yay! :woot: please pardon my extreme excitement.

i also agree with the other side though too that i would like to see some more muted or upscale (a bit more mature maybe) stuff.

no one has yet to answer the all importnat question... WHEN DOES THIS LIKE HIT STORES! i must know so i can plan shopping around my school schedual
the dress on the model looks really pretty and all the other stuff looks cute so this seems amazing!
if this is anything like luella iw ill be in heaven!!!!

That dress looks like it would be jersey material from far away, but if you look close, you can tell that it isnt that great of a material. I still plan on getting it though! yippe Target- or should i say Tar-jay! :D

it looks cute, i'm curious to know what the whole line will look like:woot: and it is very MJ

you know, I wasn't jazzed when they announced TJ, but this stuff looks pretty good..agreed, very marc by marc jacobs.

surely there must be other magazines going to showcase more of the line?
although the tar-jay site says she's "arriving" may 1...

Yes, I was surprised when I got my May issue of Elle yesterday and found no mention whatsoever of TJ and the Target line!! What's that? After all the promotion for Luella, why nothing about Tara? I'm confused. I guess we really have to wait until May 1 to see more of her line. That stinks...I'm feeling very impatient with Target. I want to see a whole spread in Elle like we had in February for Luella. NOW NOW NOW!!!:judge:

i do love that dress, but something tells me it'll get snapped up in an instant with the target teen shoppers and.. well, who wants to wear what everyone else will? i don't know..

im thinking, or hoping!, that this line will come out with a few pieces before may 1st, just because luella came out a bit early too! they had it set for a date in feb, but i remember them having things online earlier. ima cross my fingers ;)

i like the dress and the yellow bow shirt.

i dont like the bag at all. the stripes in that exact color combo look like a kate spade rip-off.

Goodbye, Luella Bartley; hello, Tara Jarmon for Target. Canadian-born, Paris-based Tara Jarmon is the latest international fashion designer whose limited-edition women's clothing line will appear at area Target stores. The Tara Jarmon for Target collection debuts May 1. Her hip, feminine looks include: a fitted cardigan with satin-bow sleeves ($25), a fun plum silk embroidered eyelet skirt ($40), a bright polka-dot print shirt dress ($40) and satin-trimmed jeans ($40). Jarmon is the second featured designer for Target's Go International program that taps designers from around the globe to produce exclusive collections. Clothing by Luella Bartley, who was the Go International debut designer, is now on sale at Target stores.

At least with Luella they chose a designer that has a very expensive line (her handbags in particular), and his high profile, to make cheaper versions. With Tara Jarmon, who is not nearly as famous as Luella, and Paul and Joe, who are not that expensive, the Go International stuff is already becoming a lot less exciting.

I hope that they go for someone a) Very high profile, and b) Italian for the next one (two Parisians in a row- sheesh!). My vote would go to Anna Molinari or Alberta Ferretti, but that's just me :innocent:

I'm going to wait until we see more before I say anything bad but I don't really like all the bright colors and polka dots stuff.
