Ten things about your personal style

1) I evolve throughout the year, and so does my wardrobe.
2) Blue is a flattering color, but best used in small quantities, patterns, and lighter hues.
3) Form AND function must go hand in hand. A nice coat or jacket that has buttons and pockets merely for decoration is a waste of fabric.
4) Fit is IT. Shirt sleeves that go the appropriate length, jacket sleeves cut slightly shorter, pants hemmed to brush softly on my shoes make the outfit much better looking and put together. Extra fabric anywhere makes you look like a slouch.
5) If I like it, buy it and wear it. I'll make it work.
6) Accessories, accessories, accessories.
7) Bags are fashionable 1st and functional 2nd.
8) Fashion advice is better when asked for as opposed to being unsolicited.
9) Take care of your shoes so your feet and back don't hurt at the end of the day.
10) Is the closet just getting smaller and smaller each day?

1)More of a neutral tone person, but im not afraid to throw on some pastel colours/regular tones.
2) I prefer the feel of denim over sweatpants, shorts.
3)Not much of an accessory person but i love beanies and messenger bags
4) I like hi tops as they seem to give more definition in my fits. (converse hi tops black/white.. y-3 hi tops). I dont mind wearing lows as well, all depends on the wardrobe. I like casual shoes as opposed to dress shoes, seems more versatile.
5) cant say i have one "style" since i happen to change outfits every so often( hip, casual/semi casual, dressy). I like to mix and match as well just to set myself apart. I like to be versatile.

6)I look to the 90's and 50's era for some inspiration. (james dean, etc)
7) Fall & spring seem to be my favorite seasons as i like to throw on different layers but still keep it clean and simple.
8) I like to mix high end with the more common names(cheap brands, etc)
9) Love hoodies and will mix them up with something casual.
10) Big fan of blazers, cardis and button ups with matching tie

1. soft cottons, jerseys & light floaty chiffons.

2. a sheer white tank or t is my outfit building block, regardless of occasion/silhouette.

3. I feel that hair can radically change an outfit. I love to wear mine either long, loose & tousled.[ v. 'beach'-y . ], in a ponytail, or knotted into an unkempt ballerina bun.

4. antique gold necklaces & pendants . . all of which have been passed down to me from my mother & grandmother.

5. peeptoes w/everything . !

6. uptown & downtown infusions (i.e. diamonds & a tshirt . . cocktail dress & a hoodie.)

7. pleats, bows & puffsleeves make me feel like alice in wonderland. !. which is splendid, ofcourse.

Black liquid eyeliner on the top lid and slightly thick towards the outer corner, with lash defining mascara. Gives the sleekest eyes ever. My fave look of the moment, along with chapstick for the lips to play up only the eyes.

1-I've recently been a jeans and tshirt girl but I've been buying more dresses to wear them more often. I also want more skirts to wear.
2-For when I do care to be in jeans and a tshirt, I like certain fabric and fit for tshirts especially since I have trouble finding tshirts long enough for my torso.
3-I'm okay with pretty much any color when it comes to clothing but I mostly stay away from anything orange or brown and I prefer certain shades and tints like emerald for green, powder blue or navy blue, lemon yellow or a bright sunny yellow, white or a creamy vanilla color, etc.
4-My favorite prints are usually polka dots and horizontal stripes, but I like some florals and other random prints. I don't really like animal prints.
5-I love the winter so I can get to wear nice coats.
6-For shoes, I prefer sneakers (Cons and Keds) and flats. Heels are not my favorite.
7-I don't really have jewelry to wear but I really want some antique looking jewelry to pair with my outfits.
8-I like wearing my hair straight and with bangs. When my hair is longer, I don't mind if it still has some wavyness after I straighten it.
9-I recently really want skinny headbands with little bows, kind of similar to Catherine Denueve's character in The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg.
10-My makeup usually consists of only lipstick.

1. I prefer items that are one offs so i don't see someone else in the same outfit as me, i even hate seeing people in an outfit i own when i'm wearing something different.

2. I love scouring second hand shops for odd finds.

3. I as a general rule stick to a palette of black, white, grey, with blue and red and turquoise as highlights. the exception to this rule is dresses which can be any colour or pattern.

4. I refuse to buy items in poor quality fabrics as they will quickly look bad and therefore be a waste of money.

5. Autumn and spring are my favorite times for dressing as i love layering but not when i have to cover up in big coats all the time. But I love the simplicity of dressing for summer in just a great dress and nice shoes.

6. Generally i wear only flats, ballet, courts, cons, thongs, gladiator sandals.

7. I have a weakness for boots (13 and counting)

8. I use accessory's to either change an outfit or to keep a common thread going between outfits.

2) I love mascara. My eyes are always the focus. I love false lashes as well. Bonus if I feel like curling my straight hair.
3) I love Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.
4) I love mixing designer with vintage.
5) I love kiddy pieces that are inspired by late 70's/early 80's. It looks best mixed with diamonds and Chanel No.5.

@ the moment...

1.) Juxtaposed graphic prints in sensual, rich colors.
2.) On any given day, I am more than likely wearing a garment that is a shade of gray.
3.) I particularly focus on interpreting adverse, industrial, 'rough' aspects into my personal style by marrying them with soft textures, cuts, and/or dusty colors.
4.) Short skirts and dresses, plz!
5.) Any clothing garment containing drapery aspects is a necessary in my book.
6.) Love any clothing item based on military abstractions, too.
7.) I love to incorporate elements from varying decades (i.e. a mash up of 20's inspired pieces with 70's inspired pieces)
8.) I am generally inspired by faceless elements such as architecture, paper, fabrics, trimming, metals, nature, and culture.
9.) Cuffed, baggy trousers are a must.
10. And all else aside, comfort and personal complacency are the aspects that truly compel and cement my personal style.

1) I have 7 pairs of the same skinny jeans, perfect fit and I live in them, 3-black, 2-dark navy blue, 1-grey and 1-mid blue
2) love sky high chunky heels with lots of detailing eg. straps, studs, buckles etc although I can barely walk in them, so the majority of the time im in ballet flats, white chucks or flat boots
3) in winter I live in an old black leather bomber jacket and in summer i live in an old pair of mid thigh length light denim rolled hem shorts that are all ripped and seriously lived in
4) zip up hoodies under or over everything
5) Ive had the same dark brown, long layered and wavy hair style for the past 5 years or so only ever changing from a deep side fringe or blunt fringe, with a slight variation of darker or lighter browns.
6) Clean, fresh, dewy make up with only a little blush and bronzer, with lots of black mascara, will occasionally rock a red lip
7) wardrobe mainly consists of black, white or cream, navy with tiny splashes or fushia, purple or turquoise
8) all sorts of hoisery, leggings, opaques and socks
9) mens shirts, esp. striped RL oxfords
10) my style is a mix of 50's highwaisted femininity, 90's grunge and little house on the prairie on acid, set on the beaches of australia lol

1. Comfort. I dress for comfort.
2. I love red.
3. I always wear my wedding ring, engagement ring, high school ring, charm bracelet, and Marc Jacobs padlock heart watch necklace.

I like dark, cool earthy colors. Tons of black. Charcoal grey, navy & midnight blue, forest and bottle green, dark chestnut brown. Occasional touches of red or white.

I love plaid and tartan.

I love capes, cocoons, and all things that wrap.

I love knots, bows, and all things that tie.

I hate buying and carrying bags...I wouldn't, if I didn't have to.

My earliest fashion inspirations were ballet dancers and fairy-tales.

I never feel completely myself unless I am wearing boots.

I am drawn to shape and silhouette over pattern and color.

Recently, I prefer pencil skirts and various types of trousers to anything flowing or full around my bottom half.

Simplicity, especially when wearing "complicated" garments, is my guiding principle. B)

My style changes all the time, the main thing I have is that is has to be comfortable.

So, the things I'm trying right now:

1. To break into some colour - maybe I'll upgrade to navy. Or brown!

2. To lessen the over accessorising, I can't help it

3. To wear heels (I usually only wear flats)

4. To buy more quality garments, rather than cheap, Saturday night, back of the wardrobe never wear it again garments

5. To wear more lipstick

6. To take care of my clothes

7. Tights, keep wearing them in winter, but try some colour

8. To look for unusual, vintage or handmade items

9. To wear something in my hair, be it headbands, flowers or something else!

10. To have fun and not take it all so seriously

1. Leopard print. I know some people find this tacky but I love leopard print and aim to own almost everything in it. Of course I wouldn't wear it altogether at once, that would be a fashion mistake.

2. Flared knee length or over the knee skirts with a basic top and cinched with a belt is my usual combination.

3. Shoes make or break the outfit. I love heels, boots and flats. But I wear mostly flats, sandals and boots.

4. I love layering. I think it's a great way to spice up a bland outfit and to create new looks with old pieces.

5. Colored tights.

6. Cardigans/sweaters/leather jacket. I love the soft cozy feeling of being wrapped in one, plus I'm sensitive to cold, so I have many.

7. Black, grays, creams and other neutral colors are what I usually wear.

8. For color, maroon.

9. I love to wear dresses.

10. I think jeans are super casual. Jeans = sweatpants IMO unless I dress them up with boots, so you wont usually see me in them.

1) i never ever like to my look to be definable
2) i draw a lot of inspiration from the late 70's, i have an unhealthy obsession with stevie nicks, charlies angels, and the movie foxes.
3) jeans are my favorite thing in the world. i love destroyed denim. the olsens always have the best jeans. my basic go to pair for everything is a pair of vintage levis 501s. they look good with EVERYTHING. i like the contrast of wearing faded boys jeans with alaia heels!!
4) i like my style to have an edge of toughness to it, i add a lot of leather, studded, destroyed, and boyish touches to my outfits.
5) i absolutely hate pants that fall between above the knees and the ankle. i also hate hip skimming blazers. that said, the perfect blazer should be square in the shoulders and graze just above your crotch. this never looks bad.
6) i must have nice shoes. always. always. always. thrift stores are great for everything but shoes. never skimp there.
7)i love chunky shoes. prada and marni do the chunky sillouhettes best, in my opinion.
8) i don't wear a lot of red or white.
9) i have a thing for space age touches. im a huge fan of margiela because its like fashion propelled into the future!! i am inspired by old science fiction movies.
10) i like a certain degree of frivolity in my style. i love some of the whackier comme pieces (i have a comme pull over with three dimensional hands on it!! love it) and prada's faux watches this season. souvenier scarves are fun. cheesy 70's ringer shirts that say stupid stuff on them. full on irony though isn't fashionable, its just annoying and ugly.

I like leopard too ... and in the spirit of defying the rules, I have been known to wear two pieces at once. I pulled it off too

1. I love monochrome styles, where the emphasis is on shape. A dramatic, sharp silhouette is important to me. I buy colour too, but usually wear blocks rather than patterns. I like red with black, red/mauve/purple tones together, or deep gorgeous silky greens and greys. I abhor pastels.
2. It will takes years for me to welcome back anything 'boho' or hippie-ish into my life - I'm sick to the back teeth of it.
3. I love anything 1930s-ish and anything that looks French.
4. I am a bit of a goth at heart.
5. I would rather look elegant/unusual/edgy than pretty. I'm not convincing as a soft glowy girly-girl, so I don't try.
6. I almost never wear jeans, I hate sportswear, and I don't do 'casualwear' [hoodies, jeans-and-tshirt, boots over jeans/trousers] - it looks mediocre on me.
7. I like shoes more than bags. I love well-made closed-toe stilettos, and chic, unusual designs. I like nice bags [old, very soft or very structured leather in black, brown, red or prussian blue] but won't pay more than £15 unless it's something exceptional - you can almost always find what you want secondhand, and they don't need to 'fit' like clothes do. I hate 'designer handbag culture'.
8. Highstreet-wise, I love Topshop, like Zara, am hit and miss with Mango, and loathe Next, Dorothy Perkins and Primark with an unbridled passion. But nearly all of my most treasured clothes are second-hand or hand-me-downs. I throw nothing away - something that doesn't work now might, years later, be the best thing I find in the back of a cupboard. I am a hoarder and a rummager.
9. Coco Chanel was right about taking one thing off before you leave the house. I hate a decent outfit ruined by unnecessary accessories, chic necklines covered by messy scarves, or a generic pair of shades [especially Hollywood bug-eyes] depersonalising an otherwise elegant look.
10. I love distinctive, old-fashioned accessories; coloured leather and suede gloves, intricate umbrellas, unusual hats/fascinators, sandalwood/silk fans, and well-made belts. These things hold my wardrobe together. Umbrellas, coats and lingerie are the only things I spend money on. Everything else, I buy high street or second-hand.

I am aware that I sound like an old lady. Hopefully I don't look like one.
