Oh God, hope he's not alluding to Carmen! There's nothing on her Twitter feed though. I wonder what all this means?

I have no idea. But Carmen is on the picture. It is not another girl. So I don't know. I can only assume. Maybe it is something btw Zahm and Richardson... It still is pretty vulgar. Maybe Richardson refers to Zahm.

I do hope so. It seems unlikely as Terry could've used another pic if he was really trying to shade Zahm. If only I can understand the context of that phrase.....

There is also a clip of model Lakshmi Menon interviewed for V Files where she is asked if she does nudes and she responds, "Not for Terry." Which is just so, so awesome!

Wow, I didn't think I could love Lakshmi any more than I did already. She's so strong and smart.

I would assume so, but since I consider him about the least suitable source of information imaginable, I am choosing to spend no time contemplating the meaning of his offensive and disrespectful commentary

Ooh thanks for the link, I love Penny. But her answer was all over the place and defensive, and there was definitely talk going on before the Angela Lansbury cover was shot in spring/summer 2012 for their FW issue - Rie Raasmussen started it all in March 2010 (go to page 1 of this thread!) Penny also seemed like she was trying not to say anthing poor about him, who was/is under contract by the same group that publishes The Gentlewoman, I believe? I have trouble believing she hadn't heard anything about bad conduct prior. And of course he was behaved on set - Angela Lasbury isn't exactly a twenty-year-old model alone with Terry and team.

Penny says something about separating art from the artist, yet says if someone was known to have poor conduct on set, they wouldn't hire them. Like I said, answer all over the place. His style is not admirable or "beautiful" either... A monkey without hands would produce the same work.

I wish Penny was asked if The Gentlewoman has decided to join the lists of brands and magazines that will refrain from Terry use in the future (which The Gentlewoman has done since that FW 2012 issue.) I think the blunt, behind-the-scenes answer is "We won't use him again" but I'm sure Penny would have said it very differently and vaguely.

Was the last time that The Gentlewomen had Terry shoot for the magazine back in 2012? Or has he done any work for them since then? If the last time was in 2012, that's actually pretty cool to see. Although, while it may be the case that they haven't (or will not) work with him again, silence by failing to notify people of this decision does nothing to change the overall situation within the fashion industry. They may not be working with him but if the editors do not make it publicly known then what really changes in the grand scheme of things??? Being vocal about one's dislike and refusal to work with such a person speaks volumes and it also places support and agency back in the hands of those who have been harmed by Terry. Also, I'm not so keen on Penny trying to defend their actions, I tend to think it is better to take ownership of when something has been badly done then to try to skirt around the issue. She could have been a bit more direct in her answer.

Yes, it was in 2012. Previous to that he shot an edit with Eniko Mihalik, I think that's all he did for them.

But he always shot p*rn for his personal work. So it's no surprise he hangs around p*rn sets. All magazines and major brands are certainly very much aware of the fact, it's not like he's hiding it, which in my view make it even worse when they try to skirt the issue.I agree with Yoninah, I prefer when people take ownership of their decisions, than when they go around in circles trying to justify their actions, or even worse pretend they were not aware to what extent his personal work is seedy.

You know, I don't really care so much about the p*rn ... if it's straight up. In fact, I think he should do it full time. The industry has its own standards, and they are certainly a beat different from ours. But if he were professional and respectful while doing mainstream work, I think I'd be fine with that. Instead ... he appears to take every opportunity to abuse whatever power he has, and express disrespect for women at every turn. He's accumulating some serious bad karma, and I would love to see it play out, right about now.
