TFS picks ... Favorite Shoes S/S 2009

the devi krolls at the beginning of this thread are jaw dropping......
:heart::heart::heart:

i like the guccis- and agree they are reminiscent of ysl tributes...but i like that they are slightly more aggressive with the multiple ankle straps...

the prada 'peds' are cute...but i guess not so practical if they make the shoes so slippery:ermm:
(i find that too...i like wearing socks with shoes, but sometimes it's hard to walk...:(...)
* i guess you could solve that by using the styling trick of putting double stick tape inside the shoes...not sure how long that will last, but it's worth a try i guess...

^_^...

the ann's are great, but i like the taos better in blk patent...

of course the dries' are just so incredibly chic...but look hard to walk in i think....
....

great thread guys!!!...

:woot:

The lacroix shoes are great- I really like the ornaments and the embellishments; it gives the shoe a femine feel, but doesn't take away any of the boldness the shoe possesses. On the other hand, I think the two bows at the front of the shoe when the shoe is other than black and silver is a little too busy at the front, one bow at the very front or either the top when the shoe is already colourful would have been my preference.
The DVN, V&R and Balmain shoes... well what else can I say apart from that they spell dynamic! :D I've been especially waiting for what V&R would come up with, can't say they've disappointed me in the shoe section (I've yet to take a look at the respective thread showing the whole collection), the colourful laceups are exciting; the colour combination is wonderful :woot: the black and whites are mesmerising me
I have commented that I thought the Balmain shoes are really eye catching, but to me they look a little unbalanced  in that everything is encrusted in crystals or studs and it makes it look a bit 'top heavy', perhaps a small platform at the front of the shoe would have made it a little more balanced?

Died for the Prada, Gucci, Dolce, Chanel, Lacroix, Gaultier's:woot:
Let down by Givenchy, Rodarte, Valli shoes...They always have a mean shoe game

chanel (not a huge fan of these, the shapes are great but the seethrough plastic is a big no for me)

The Galliano ones are quite "sculptural", not that wearable though. Perhaps Daphne Guinness is able to pull these things off successfully, who knows.

OMG the Gallianos! For a second I thought the platforms were reflections!

omg! i thought i was seeing reflections of the bottom part of the Galliano shoes, turns out it was still part of the shoes.LOL.

The Galliano shoes are definitely a trompe l'oiel (sp!) and if I could have (find) those Givenchy and Rodarte shoes right now, they'd be on my feet now!! LOVE!
