The 100 Movie Challenge (2012)

Guys, who watched the tree life, did you like it? I've begun to watch it and fall asleep after 20 mins.

^I watched and liked it, it´s not a great movie but it´s not bad either. The experimental part lasts 45 minutes, if you manage to get past it the movie really "starts" after that. I didn´t like that it looked like two different movies, I´d like the experimentation to be more intrinsically to the whole movie...

^ok, thx for your opinion, I'll give it a second chance.

34-Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (US 2011). It was hard to watch but I particularly liked that they didn´t tiptoe around 9-11 like in other movies.
35-Albert Nobbs (UK/Ireland 2011). SO boring. I only watched it to see Glenn Close´s preformance, which wasn´t that great.
36-The Iron Lady (UK/France 2011). It was interesting to see original footage from events that I´ve never seen before. Nevermind that it´s Thatcher, Meryl does a great job portraying a powerful woman.
37-My Week With Marilyn (UK/US 2011). It´s an ok movie, Michelle does a great job.
38-A Better Life (US 2011). I noticed that the director is Chris Weitz, who directed one of the Twilight movies. Say what you will about the franchise but at least looks like he made money to produce and make happen a movie that´s not glamourous and it´s spoken in spanish for the most part. It´s a lovely and hard little story, with a great performance by Demián Bichir
39-Real Steel (US 2011). Crappy movie, unintentional funny. Seems like they´re big fans of Stallone´s Over The Top & Rocky, practically the same except with robots... at least they were cool.

3. An Education
4. Drive
5. Real Steel

11. Mr. Brooks
12. Pride and Prejudice
13. The Help
14. Sylvia
15. Martha Marcy May Marlene
16. Hard Candy
17. Thinner
18. The Last Laugh (German, 1924) - This is a Murnau film, obviously much less well known than his famous version of Nosferatu, but it is excellent nonetheless, and very sad, imo, although the ending suggests otherwise. An amazing performance by Emil Jannings as the Doorman. Highly recommended!

001: Crazy, Stupid, Love
002: Martha Marcy May Marlene
003: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

9. moneyball. 2011 starring brad pitt, jonah hill. well i'm not a baseball fan by any stretch of the imagination so this one fell alittle flat for me. it wasn't a bad film, although i don't think it warrants any oscars.
10. tree of life. 2011 starring brad pitt, jessica chastain, and sean penn. uggghh what a clunker. the symbolism, the disjointed story telling, the random dinosuars- it all added up to odd, unlikeable film. so glad i didn't pay money to see this one in the theaters.
11. bridesmaids. 2011 starring kirsten wigg, maya rudolph and melissa mccarthy. i'm not one fore gross, raunchy humor but i must say this film did have its moments. kirsten was very likable as a lead and while i don't think melissa was oscar worthy she was pretty funny.

just trying to get ready for the oscars tonight! i still missed quite a few-hugo especially i wanted to see- but i think this year was kinda lackluster for oscar films, atleast compared to last year.
