The 4-5 piece French wardrobe #6

So la-di-da... I found a pair of trousers on yoox that checks all of my criterias. Apprently the color I was looking for was "brown". I don't agree, but whatever... I also discovered that Yoox include taxes in their final shipping price:D

I won't order them until March though, as I am aiming to not buy anything next month. They have at least two in my size, so I have time to think about it. I am not familiar with the brand or the fabric composition. I was hoping for some input from you guys.

From the website:
Composition: 83% Viscose, 17% Virgin Wool
Details: low waisted, belt loops, hook-and-bar, zip, multipockets, no appliqués, crêpe, solid colour

Does the fact that it has some wool and is "crêpe" mean that it will have some stretch? Will it wrinkle beyond belief when I sit down? I am intending to wear it during the summer... I greatly appreciate any input!:flower:

Also, if anyone can see anything that seems "off" about the trousers, please let me know! I have overlooked weaknesses before...

Congratulations eizhowa!
Those look great! And for the price and markdown, I'd go for it.
Since you asked, I looked at them with a critical eye, and thought you might want to look at the quality of the stitching, but in my humble and non-expert opinion I think the fabric should be fine; should have a bit of stretch and should not wrinkle too much. For me, trousers are ALL about fit. In the past I've bought cheap wool blend trousers from Zara that were badly stitched and all, but they fit amazingly so they looked good and I wore them a lot. HTH!

Another unsuccessful shopping spree. I got some black tights with gold baroque designs from Calzedonia. Other than that...Yes, I do agree a whitish sweater is the only thing I can think of to go with the skirt...

^I am no stranger to reinforcing the stiches of a piece I love;) Thank you for your input! The markdown is pretty non-existing though. They come to about 130 Euros after taxes...

Really unsure if I should just get them today, or wait 31 more days... hmmm... I just found an old wallet (my own) full of money I didn't know I had. Is it a sign?

Really?? On my site it says it used to be 119 Euros and now it's 55...is it because you're in Norway it's different?

When I'm unsure I wait, sleep on it for a few days, and if I couldn't stop thinking about it and if they're still available and I'm still in love, I tell myself it's a sign

eizhowa, the only thing I see about the trousers is they are very narrow, so hopefully you are too ;) I hear you about fabric ... it's an issue here as well.

I don't know what the shape of the skirt is like, Melisande, but I'm picturing the sweater with drapey sleeves. Since it's totally imaginary, I know I'm really helping here ;)

This morning I ordered (pre-ordered, they're not shipping yet) the black Nicholas Kirkwood sandals I was talking about. I have them pinned ... They are the basic yet not basic black flats I have been looking for, if not all my life, then at least for the past few years ;) Hopefully they will fit well. And per Melisande's standard, I have been thinking about them for some little while.

^They had better fit!I usually order a size too big by accident, so I dared to get the IT40 this time:shock: I think I get a free exchange though, so hopefully the IT42 won't get sold out within the next week. I looked at so many Italian size charts and size conversion charts, and it got me nowhere! According to some I am a 42 and others a 40. It all depends on whether Forte Forte sizes run small or large:/

Ok. My shopping fast starts now... February starts in an hour, so I consider myself to be right on track:innocent:

Those sandals look nice! Wish we could see them from above though. I don't think that angle is the best way to show off the design.

Melisande: 55 for the item + 27 for shipping + 50 in taxes. Oh yeah!:D

 Approuvé on your sandals criteria! That's amazing to find something after searching for years. Hope they fit well.

Ta-ta your imagination is very good :flower:. Indeed, in summer I wore the skirt with a white gauze blouse with drapey sleeves! :)

Eizhowa, wow, 50 in taxes...!! is it easy to return the purchase? I've never bought clothes over the internet...

Could not possibly be more OT and totally weird but my friend just introduced me to the phenomenon of ASMR. Woooooah....:shock:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oapgiZc5i-g

^I think it is easy to exchange for another size. They have one in 42 as well, so fingers crossed:) But if I return it, I think I will only get the 55 euros back...

I shop a lot online, because the local selection is very limited and more expensive. I do miss trying things on though.

Something kind of on my list for fall that I never got was an additional pair of pants ... so thinking about getting them for spring. But ... not sure what to look for. Recall that I am picky about pattern, so they probably need to be solid, unless I could find some kind of super subtle leopard print. I did once see some jeans that I'd have bought if they'd fit me in a washed-out taupey leopard.

I have

* Two pairs black pants, one trouser, pleated and hemmed long, one more narrow hemmed at the ankle & flat front
* One pair dark denim trousers
* Polka dots
* Tomato red (definitely don't want to expand in this direction)
* black velvet palazzo

That's it for full-length pants ... I also have several capris in beige and taupe.

Maybe some colored denim? Right now the black trousers are at the cleaners & the denim ones are in the pile to take to the cleaners ... I'm debating whether I might be able to find another pair of black that would be distinguished from the others in some significant (at least to me ...) way. Maybe black jeans ... haven't had any of those in awhile.

Hmm ... thoughts?

I love dark grey, washed black, grey or taupe denim on others. So versatile.

I guess I've been spoiled shopping-wise since I've only lived in Tokyo, Paris, and a commute to New York...wow, you get less than 50% back! :( I can see why you have to be very careful. Fingers crossed! :)

fashonista-ta I agree with Melisandre, (dark) grey jeans are very versatile. I recently bought a pair and they go with pretty much everything. I can also imagine some faded shade of purple looking good with what you own.

PS I feel my AGL brogues have done very very well. barbara, you may want to look into that (Italian) brand as a possible investment piece ...
Looked into the brand, those are some lovely shoes! Unfortunately still over 1/3 of my salary at the moment... Maybe someday.

Thanks for the ideas, Melisande and Fewormany  I may go shopping tomorrow if I'm in the mood :lucky: I saw some jeans online (but in a very skinny cut, which is not what I want) in what appears to be black on black leopard. That looked good ...

fashionista-ta: The black on black print sounds great, very subtle but interesting.

I was looking for sandals for summer. I figured it would be hard to find a nice pair and then I found this. At the mens department.
I'm scarred for life.. :ninja:

It's something Versace would make I think. I agree with eizhowa, it looks rather brutal.

I finally have the feeling that my wardrobe for this autumn/winter is complete. This is a summary of my wardrobe (not the same items exactly as in the pictures but I couldnt find a picture of all my items). I'm finally happy with my wardrobe. The only basic things that I used to have in my wardrobe were a black skinny jeans and two blazers. The rest was a combo with all different things of very bad quality. I feel like a different person now. I've lost 5 kilo's, started exercising more, buy clothes of a little more luxery quality. I don't want to be the girl anymore that goes to the Bershka to buy tons of stuff that don't match with the rest of my wardrobe.

My next goal is to invest in the 5-piece system. So buying more expensive and special things. But this winter I had to invest in the basics because I didn't have many.

You've done extremely well imo, great basics. If your taste isn't going to change much, this will be a wardrobe years to enjoy. :flower:
