ugh..2 days after I quit my antibiotics I already got an inflammation...

it doesn't really look like a pimple though..i think it may be a cyst, but I don't know because I've never had this before.... It's this really hard painful bump underneath my skin. There's no head or anything.

and I don't know what to put on it to make it go away!

Cysts usually do not hurt - unless it is a cyst AND a pimple. I used to have these. :(
In any case, try zinc - if it's a cyst, zync should make it disappear really quickly.

I finished my antibiotics on saturday and I already have 6 large spots :(

****........how long were u on the antibiotics fior??

my zineryt date has expired so i'm going back to the doctor on wednesday, do you think she will give it to me again.....or will i have to stick with just the antibiotics.......my forehead spots have cleared but my skin is nowhere near perfect....and I have a fresh new spot today :(!!!!!!!!

DiorLover - try scar creams on your skin, im sure clinique used to do a cream for spot scars to try and decrease them. otherwise they will fade over time!

loverunway - id get back to your doctor asap! maybe he could give you a non antibiotic cream if he doesnt want you on antibiotics? :flower: i have a non antibiotic spot cream.

I was on Zineryt since July and then antibiotics since September and I can't believe it :( So dissapointed,I don't have a doctors now so I'm going to have to try and register as soon as possible to sort something out. At the doctors back in July it was suggested that if it didn't clear up I'd have to see a dermatolgist so I guess that's the next step for me.

I'm changing my diet for the better from tomorrow (less bad foods, more fresh, which is hard for a student ^_^) and I'm also starting to use what I consider to be slightly better facial washes etc

My skin is so gross right now. My forehead is actually hurting with the massive spot I have coming through haha.
But seriously, I have a bunch of little red bumps on my forehead and spots on my chin.

I don't think my diet and the stress I'm under right now is helping. My parents even noticed how much worse my skin has got lately, I think they feel a bit guilty they can't afford to send me to a dermatologist :(

I dont think diet makes a difference I was eating "good foods" for months, and they didnt help the slightest, I cut out coffe and tea from my diet for 10 months.....all i drank was green tea it made no difference:doh:....I didnt eat any takeaways, and I didnt eat fried food, no sweets, hardly any sugar.......all this did jack all!!

I'm really iffy about trying scar creams....I have spent sooo much money on all sorts of different creams.....90% of these made my skin worse...at the moment i'm trying to wear as little make up as possible, mainly just wear concealer which i cant live without. At home i;m wearing no make up at all, so I can just wash my face with water and without cleansers that f up my skin!!

If and when my skin does get cleared up I vow to stop wearing concealers and foundations......because caking up my face doesnt help at all!!

^I used the clinique scar remover on 2 occassions and I have to be honest,it made little difference from what I can remember. I'm using a microdermabrasion exfoliator from Boots Number 7 at the minute and that is working an absolute treat,it's about £12 I think.

I'm so frustrated that my spots are back though, after having nearly none since July this sucks. I guess its worse than the doctor thought

Diorlover, for hyperpigmentation (I think that's what you're referring to) I would recommend having acid peels done. It's the only thing that's worked for me, but you have to be very patient and stick with it even when it doesn't seem to be doing much in the beginning to see results. And they're exfoiliants, so I don't think they will cause any breakouts like creams.

I went to my doctors today & he's put me on lymecycline. Anyone on/been on this? Is it any good?

^I've never been on that. But I'm going to register at a local doctors next week and go back and maybe ask to go back on tetracycline and sort out an appointment at the hospital with the dermatologist that I was promised.

Ok I'm confused by the box :-/ it says three different names :(

Tetralysal 300 then underneth - lymecycline 408mg then in brackets (equivalient to 300mg teracycline)

So it might be the one your talking about not sure...

^ I have been on this and it did give me good skin - not flawless, but significantly and consistently better in a way that I wasn't able to achieve through any other means (skincare, diet for example) :flower:

My skin doesn't react to Tetralysal, but I hope it will work for you though!

so I've been off my antibiotics for 2 weeks or sth and now I have a couple of small whiteheads. I just know it's goig to gradually get worse so I want to go see my derm, but the problem is she's just gonna wanna give me topicals but those don't work and only make my skin red and painful...+ it's not a permanent solution. I've been putting chemical creams on my skin for 6 years now...
I just want another round of accutane!

i h a t e feeling like some trampy diseased scat my skin is so **** right now

for fffffffffffs sake

I've just been prescribed Trimethoprim and retrieve cream. Retrieve is the cream version of roaccutane- so far... no results but it has only been a week.
Has anyone used these products?? Any results??

I have an appointment to register with a doctor on Friday :D so hopefully this time next week I'll be back on something ^_^

My skin is still an absolute atrocious nightmare.
I have to wet it because of the major dryness but that makes it shiny... I can't use moistureizer because that would make it actually flourescent.

It's the only thing about my image that annoys me.
