I think this was the first time in many years that Louis Vuitton had zero debuting girls in the show? I like how Prada had like only two this season whereas normally I think they have minimum 15 and LV now none. I think the industry had so many outstanding models debuting last year maybe they will slow down with it for now.

We can only hope, but I feeling Prada will be back to their old shenanigans next season and we’ll see a flood of new faces coming down the runway. And everyone else will follow

I think the era of new exclusives is definitely coming to an end, not now but eventually. Now brands are making top models/industry favorites exclusives (Loli Bahia having a 1 year WW exclusive with YSL, Bella Hadid YSL & Prada, Karlie Kloss Gucci Exclusive are some examples)

I didn't like any of the shows this season... maybe the YSL one 😅 Julia Nobis is the most relevant model from the early 2010s... She only walked for top shows and opened Prada again

Maliaka Louback posted on IG (which she somehow deleted) that she has been suffering from a hypertrophied heart condition and she had to get admitted in the hospital for months. That's probably why she has been absent from the scene in the past few seasons.

I found casting this season was weird. Girls who have been runway staples like Apolline, Rosalike, Penelope, Rejoice, Libby B., Jiahui, Victoria Fawole, Angelina, Bodine, Caitlin, etc. all slowed down or got less bookings. A girl like Felice who has been in the game a decade I can get, but Angelina??

Lauren not showing up was sad. Luna Yohannan who I also thought had potential vanished come Paris. She was there, so she probably just didn't get booked.

New faces didn't excite me other than Alaina Rae. Reagen Lee is quite stunning, but I wonder if she will last. Alina Miller and Esther Kim too ( the later which I like the most ) We will just have to see if they do any off season work, not that that is a predictor of anything. Claire Marie walked cruise and resort shows and then vanished.
Matilde Lucidi was an exciting new face, but her booking slowed way down in Paris and she didn't book an Ashley show at all, when she was a Dior debut.

I did love seeing Nyahuhr and Sascha make come backs though! Those excited me more than anything!

Same, well I was thinking a Celine exclusive, but she wasn’t there either. Celine didn’t even do exclusives though, like Victoria Blecher walked just Celine and didn’t get an exclusive.

Somehow we've come to the end of this season and I've found it all very underwhelming, both from a design and casting perspective. Certainly the reduction of the typical influx of new faces is a good thing but I don't know...

Happiest to see Nyawurh have such a strong comeback season, even if she didn't "sweep" the board. Even Jacqui and Libby had a few surprise absences but it's no biggie in their case.

Just wish Awar would've closed some shows in Paris. The industry seems to want to get behind but not push her too far in equal measure which is a little frustrating.

Victoria is only 5’8” and looking at her digitals I don’t think her face is runway enough. I don’t know about her personality. She might be “good enough” for a Celine exclusive but doesn’t tick enough boxes to hit all the other major runways.

Curious which of this seasons new faces you think will have staying power then based on your previous experiences.

Very hard to tell if you don’t know what their personality is like. I can only base my expectations based on the work I see of them and their social media’s / interviews.

What I know is that girls need to have an outstanding personality and a lot of confidence. A new face can rely a bit on being brand new and never seen before for their 1st season, but to be booked multiple seasons they need to leave an incredible impression on all those clients. Girls that struggle with speaking English or are young are quickly shy and silent and don’t know how to connect and make long lasting relationships. So they get replaced the next season by newer new faces. And only a few with “star quality” last multiple seasons.

This is something Angelina Kendall seems amazing at. From debuting at the age of 17 her Australian, perfect English and a bit of her Brazilian personality was able to out shine every new face walking into every room. British Jacqui Hooper seems great at it too, but then as far as I am aware she also started as a 20+ year old, so an incredible 17year old Ukrainian face for example that speaks no English who is dropped on the runway — very green gets overshadowed by a girl like Jacqui or Angelina easily.

Based on this season only, for 2025 girls I would look at girls that hit a lot again for a 2nd or 3rd season in a row, good indication that they have “it” like Noor Khan, Bebe Parnell, Libby Taverner, Jacqui, Frauke Nijs, Malin Rudnick, Saar Mansvelt, Marylore Heck, Charlie Jones …

Wonder when MDC will announce their top new faces. Vogue posted theirs, but I wonder if MDC will be accurate because the vogue girls from last season didn’t do good this season.
