So this is something that can be treated?

Of course! This was an ongoing problem for me for quite a few years and did not go away until I changed my diet and started to be healthier all round.
My doctor also told me it had a lot to do with my nervous system (I'm a stress head) sugar affects the nervous system and can make an already anxious person 10 times worse causing skin conditions such as psoriasis (which I also suffer) and skin cysts. I also drinks heaps of green tea and water, and try to eat fish at least 4 times a week. Have you consulted a doctor or naturopath? Probably a good Idea it saved my skin..... Good luck and be patient, it takes time for this problem to go away, but believe me it IS treatable! Good luck! :flower:

Ok, so if it's diet related what are some of the things that I need to cut out? Lately I've doing krispy kreme and mcdonald's runat my job so I know that has to go. I drink a lot ofwater normally but I don't know how much I should drink to improve the skin. And I do eat veggies and fruit but not enough:doh: . Hm...any advice.

i'm taking doxycycline (adoxa). it cleared up my moderate acne in a month or something in combo with Tazorac creme and benzaclin.

where do you buy the real black soap?

you can get it from nasabb.com (but they sale 6 bars, so it's like $27)
usually a 1/2 pound is around $7-10 so that's a good deal, most places sell it in bulk which is great in the long run but I can't store all that for 3 years..1/2 a pound will last you a while.

emagesbeauty has it for $10 but I dunno what amount you get. I'm going to email them though.

Africaimports.com has a pound for $7.90 - pretty good deal. I think I'm gonna order from them.

whatever you do, DON'T BUY from crabapplesoapfactory.com they'll take a month to ship you your stuff  I loved their soap but I hate their customer service..never replied to emails or phone calls...it's a lady's home business or something. Everyone I know who's ordered from there has been pissed.

hope that helped alittle =)

I just got my blemish cream from Jurlique last night. So I'll let you all know how that works out..I hope it helps..I just have a few annoying blemishes to deal with and then my face will be in alot better shape.

I also have horrible acne on my back. It's so weird, as my face is pretty clear (well lately it's gotten a bit stubborn, but yeah) and my back is... eurgh. Any advice?
Thanks~!
I have the same problem:cry: , and in my case the dermatologist told me it's a reaction between the soap I use for the clothes and my sweat, infact I noticed that when I do gymnastic my back gets like irritated. Now I'm using Special cleasing lotion "O" from Mario Badescu, and it looks like it's working good, even if it's not so much that I'm using it. I hope so...

Like I've said before, Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion is very good for a quick solution www.mariobadescu.com
Do you use it for the back and chest or also for your face??? :flower:
I'm searching something that works very fast for just few pimples I have on my face and which appears always at the wrong moment! :( !! Any advice?

Heri- I have a few suggestions. I've tried each of them out and I'll list them as follows....1 being the best, then 2 then 3

1) Persa-Gel from Clean and Clear
Available at most discount stores like target or walmart. It's 10% benzoyl peroxide. It not only treats full blown pimples but stops baby ones right in their tracks. Pretty potent, I'd use moisturizer along with this

2) Mario Badescu's Drying cream
This is kind of thick and dry feeling, but once it's on, it dries the pimple right out. Within a few hours, I noticed a difference.

3) Phisoderm Medicated Swabs
Also available at discount stores. You get a pack of like 20 q-tips that have salicylic acid medication inside. Just snap one end and apply right on the pimples or blemishes. I noticed results ranging from a few hours to overnight help depending on the seriousness of the pimple.

I hope that helps!

This is the spray for your back from Clinique. I hope this helps

Thanks so much!!! I will try them, unfortunately here in Italy it's not easy to find those products I will try to buy them on-line.

does anyone know of a moisturizer thats for super sensitive skin, removes make up well AND fights pimples and mild acne??? i'm in desperate need, so PLEASE HELP ME!!!! thank you:heart:

I've never heard of moisturizers used to remove makeup..but I do know one that could suit sensitive skin and help fight acne!

Clean and Clear's Dual Action Moisturizer with Salicylic Acid. AMAZING!!!
put this all over your face, and it not only renews your skin with exfoliation, but moisturizes and treats the pimples. I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, but I've tried cheap stuff and expensive things and this beats them all.

and Eucerin Deep Pore Clarifying toner. After a month I saw a great improvement. I definitely had some scaring, but they have faded dramatically over the years. I have told three girls I know who have had the same skin problems to try the Cetaphil, and Eucerin Toner. They have all seen results:D .

is this what you are talking about?

2. Eucerin® Deep Action Toner
Deeply cleanses and unclogs pores without drying.

It's ideal for problem T-Zone areas (chin, nose and
forehead), this gentle-acting formula contains lactic
acid to keep pores clear, leaving skin feeling clean
and refreshed.
