The Acne Thread

I'd recommend Phisoderm, it's really effective at fighting the pimples. It might dry out your skin a bit, so if you're quite sensitive, I'd would not skimp on the moisturizer. Von, that's a good call, I've been using that recently too.

Eucerin

Yeah, that's the right toner. I LUV it, and it doesn't dry out your skin. So to anone with sensitive or normal skin Cetaphil, and the Eucerin toner are great.

Cetaphil

No, Cetaphil is not targeted towards acne, but it is a gentle facial cleanser so that means it will not further your acne irritated skin with fragrances, alcohol, and other irritants.
It won’t clog pores!
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser For Normal to Oily Skin is effective for normal, combination or oily skin. Its non-irritating formula is designed to remove surface oils, dirt and makeup without leaving skin feeling tight or overly dry. It is a foaming cleanser that leaves skin with a clean feeling. It doesn’t leave behind any irritating residue and is non-comedogenic.

I dunno if ive posted this befor-prolly have since im so passionate about it!!!!i had perfect liv Tyler-esque skin until 17, when i errupted with a bad case of cystic acne, then I browsed a web site called www.skintactix.com--I SWEAR BY THIS NOW. in 2 months my skin improved y 85% id say. and i only used if for lke 3 months. after that, i got married and now moneys a lil on the tight side, and i can tell you that since treating my skin with this system, the breakout occurences have dropped down to like once a month, andi only break out in like one place. Also ive noticed that the pimple isnt as red, swollen, deep, painful as they used to be, and they last about half the time they did before i treated my skin. If anyone is is using those nasty steriod, just go to that website and give it a look, it costs like a third as much and is so much better for you. Skintactix puts back all the things that ur body is depleated of when its fighting the acne. its amazing stuff.

www.skintactix.com

oh, and i totally agree with the whole "you are what you eat"- i use to play soccer in highschool, and i changed my diet drastically, i ate very purely, cut out all the crap, took vitamins every day, worked out regularly, and drank lots of water, oh yah, and i use to sleep my 8 hours- i was in the best shape of my life, and i felt extrememly happy inside and out. I also saw myself become extremely focused and driven, and confident! the drama and conflict in my life cleared up too. Basically what im saying is if you take the time to take care of your body from every angle, the health and happiness pours out to eery part of your life... Hope this helps everyone whos looking for an answer

Has anyone tried See Spots Run from Bliss (you can find it at Sephora here in the US, among other places)? I saw it in a magazine but you know how that can go. Makeupalley only have 3 reviews
Thanks!

I know you're not supposed to pick at pores and pimples but are there some that you should pop/drain? In the past, I've left them alone and it seemed like they just settled in my skin and later on there was still a small bump. It took a while for it to completely be unnoticeable but I guess it helped. But what about when you just know that there's the gunk present? I'm using every ounce of strength to leave this current pimple alone..but I'm wondering if the same thing will happen. I'm gonna leave it be ..with willpower lol.

Has anyone tried this set from Philosophy "On a Clear Day"?
I think someone mentioned part of it before but I didn't
know if anyone had tried the whole "On a Clear Day" collection?
Or have you tried "Purity Made Simple"?

"Purity Made Simple" Cleanser

I used to use Purity Made Simple (still do when I travel!) and really liked that it was a make up remover and cleanser all in one. My only problem with it is that it is not non-comedegenic and it has some different oils in it.

Well, i clear my my skin by using acne free. It kinda like proactiv. My face totally clear

thanks shoegal2183! So does it clear up your face? Or did it make it break out with the oils in it? Has anyone else tried the others I mentioned?

^^

I don't think it really made it break out anymore than usual, just didn't do much to clear my skin at all...if that makes sense:rolleyes:

Ok...so I posted a couple of weeks ago on how I had otherwise flawless skin with the exception of 3 very small bumps on my chin. You can't really see them up close or in pictures for that matter, unless you're looking for them :-). Anyways, some suggested that if might be cystic acne and I took the liberty of looking up pictures of cystic acne and I must say that I definately don't have that. Some of the pictures where of bright red scars and my 3 little bumps look nothing like that. They were pimples but it's like they lost the whitehead and there just small remainders of pimples. I don't know how to explain it. And it's only happening on my right side of my chin. Really weird. Anyways, I don't really wanna go to the doctor for this and would like to know some recommendations for this. thanks!

blemishes and whiteheads...

hello. just want to ask if the is any beauty oil in the market to treat the occasional blemishes and whiteheads? other than tea tree oil that is. i read somewhere that a cosmetic brand has a blemish fighter which is oil but i forgot which brand it was. trying not to use stuff like salicylic acid and benzoylperoxide because its drying and it only makes my skin oilier.

Using Shu cleansing oil...its unbelievable!!! Love it!!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Anyone care to comment on See Spots Run by Bliss?!?!
Also, I've been using ACV and everytime I work out, I can smell it coming out of my pores  I don't know how much longer I can keep this up!

hey is it available in Australia and is it expensive?

^yes, i checked and there are stores in australia, which probably means they ship there too:flower:
and its very affordable, about $12us dollars. im notsure what that is for you?

I just don't know what to do anymore. Yrs ago I went on Accutane which helpped me for about 2 yrs. But now my face is looking bad again! I have used everything in the book :/ Benzoylperoxide i must say worked on the chest and back, but it wont do much for my face. I'm 22 and I'm sick of the red marks and spots everywhere :o I need something quick!
