The Acne Thread

I'm getting a bit upset about my skin, I think it's because i'm really stressed and also because i'm constantly working at a computer with a filthy keyboard and rubbing my face a lot, but i'm just getting these..lumps on my skin. They don't have anything in them..they're just....skin coloured lumps and I hate them and want them to go away! >: [

Also my blackheads are getting out of control..I just don't know how to fix them. There must be like, 100 on my nose.

*jumps out of a window*

I went for a facial the other day..best thing I could have done..for 2 days my skin looked sooo healthy and fresh, but not its getting bad again
Is it safe to go for facials (cleanse, mask, massage) every week? Or do you have to wait more like 2 or 3 wks?

Just go for it. I totally am going to get a facial soon. It something that I need because I'm breaking out everywhere. You know I've never had one before but I'm still looking for the right place.

I need a massage, I am so stressed with uni....(especially my stupid group assignment..blah I don't see the point in them)

Try Phisoderm!!! My skin cleared up significantly in 4 days. Remember to massage the cleanser on your skin for 1 minute at least. The whole line is awesome, with the ph balance. I love it now and changed my whole regimen to phisoderm!!!

I used to have no acne problem in all my life....
but i started to have a lot of acne on my forehead a couple weeks ago..
and i have no idea what happened!!!
is that related to stress or not enough sleep???
would somebody please help me!!!

Dermalogica is OK,nothing special. I used to have huge problems with acne and had horrible breakouts. I spent a fortune on trying out different cremes and lotions etc but nothing helped. I finally started getting facials once per month (facials with extractions), then I started using Retin-A and finally my skin became close to perfect. Last month I had a mild peel and my skin is glowing. I am definitely getting another one before Christmas!

Every evening I remove makeup with a facial soap (I can look up for the name when I come back home, it was $35 and it lasts for about 6 months) and after that I moisturize the face with Body shop vitamin E moisturizer. This works for me. My advice is to go to a dermatologist or medical spa and have them look at your skin. Another important thing is not to touch your face a lot during the day. My dermatologist told me to change the pillow case every other day if I have very sensitive skin. I hope this helps.

It doesn't happen often but when I have a b reakout, will will leave a little scar. A red looking flat scar that's on my chin and next to my mouth. What is recommended for this type of scar, if it's fixable?

for people using skintactix the green tea last mask thing is really grainy and how would i use it in the mornign wihthout my face being ggreen? the more i rub it in it dries up and rubs off in balls.

ok...first, make sure ur putting it on AFTER the glycolic exfoliator...second..u have to use like the SMALLEST AMOUNT POSSIBLE..i mean BARELY scrape your nail across the poultice and rub in...once you rub in slightly and gently just leave it alone...because once it dries and you continue to rub it will become like little dough balls.. if you rub it in just the right way it will disappear..or you could do what i do..just put a good amount on the blemish before i go to bed and then just use the glycolic exfoliator in the morning... hope this helps !:flower:

Washing your face in salt water is very good for your acne. Just don't rub the salt in your face, let the salt disolve in a bowl of warm water and then face the face with it. Do this when you wake up and before you go to bed...

Oh that is somethingI have never heard of before... thank-you!.. do you know what the salt does?

^ It acts as an anti-bacterial wash...but put moisteriser on afterwards because it can dry the skin a little....

ps: yesterday I had a few spots on my chin from stress of this stupid group assignment at uni so I washed my face with salt water and today, the pimples are gone....

throughout the years i noticed NO product could get rid of and/or prevent whiteheads.... only solution: extracting by yourself....

.. which is not too cool for your skin, anyone got a better solution?

Extracting by yourself = squeezing your spots??? If that is what you meant then you are going to get scars from it which is even worse. Try the salt water face wash I recommended and go to the doctor for antibiotic prescription called 'Differin-A' gel (It might be called something else in your country coz I'm in Australia).:flower:

Won't that dehydrate your skin and either make it really oily or really dry?
