The Face with Naomi Campbell

Or Yasmin Le Bon or Erin O'Connor? But it would be a question of, if any of the supermodels would be willing to face the public humiliation of being on the end of Naomi's wrath ... Having said that, Coco & Karolina came across as really great ladies as well as models as they dealt with Naomi's outbursts!

^ scroll to the right in her portfolio to see all the pictures some of them are fierce and shows she is a high fashion model

^ I don't think yet but we can always create a thread for them.

Zilin in her exit interview said that she signed to an agency in NY but I can't find out which one.

She's with that agency Mix..... and I hate to say it, but I don't think she will do much with them. I'm surprised Naomi didn't place her with a stronger agency. Jocelyn is with One....

well that photo of zilin is gorgeous who knows, neal hamil is super experienced having been the president at Ford models and Director at Elite. Maybe they can give her the attention she needs to succeed besides IMG is overly crowded in my opinion

I wouldn't count Mix out so quickly. A boutique agency with two stalwarts as founders, not to mention some gems as finds...I say let's wait and see.

The Face US has been renewed! :)

That is great news. A bit surprising, I really was expecting it to not be renewed. Shows often don't get renewed based on ratings, rather than actual content, whether it's good or bad.

That's good news especially the part about them upping the stakes. But there's no mention of Coco and Karolina so I hope they return. Especially Karolina.

The Face’s Zi Lin (MIX Model Mgmt), part of #TeamNaomi, sat down with us to discuss what it is like coming to New York from China and being in the spotlight for the first time. A continued favorite of Naomi, Zi Lin is proving that fantasy can be reality as she takes on the industry circuit. With a television debut under her belt and a uniquely sexy vibe that sets her apart from the sea of new faces, Zi Lin is poised to make the jump from the small screen to the catwalks.

Zi Lin speaks below about her recent experiences:

Being on The Face was a great thing because I had to prove for the first time I really wanted to model and win.

Most days were 10-12 hours with the cameras following you. In the beginning the other girls could not talk to each other but after there were 12 of us left, they filmed us during our off time and that is where the drama comes from; although most of the girls were very nice and we would just hang out and cook together.

I feel my English is better than on The Face, because I was nervous. I began to learn English as a girl in China, but it is hard because we learn to write first and in our head we still think in Chinese. Being on the show has helped me learn to speak clearly and think about what I am saying.

I love New York! It reminds me of Shanghai. You can find almost anything here and both are very diverse. I am happily based in New York now.

Naomi has been so amazing. She looks very tough but she cares a lot. If she like the things you do, she will tell you and if not she will tell you as well. It’s very helpful to have specific feed back and that has helped me grow. Naomi has been with me every step of the way and continues to guide me now.

Yay! So glad it's being renewed.

Interesting how Zi Lin says Naomi is guiding her every step of the way. That's always been one of the criticism of Tyra - that the show ends and so does her interest. Not that she should be responsible for mentoring a dozen girls for 20 cycles, but it's an interesting disparity.

I'm excited for this show's return. I really like Naomi and I'm glad to hear that her mentoring of Zi Lin has extended itself offscreen.
