oooooh and let the speculation begin about Season 2!

i actually am not surprised that it got renewed. i think it takes a little while for a show like this to pick up steam. i suspect that word of mouth will have spread by the time the 2nd season airs and there will be a lot more interest. hopefully they'll have some more $$$ for better prizes, as well.

i really wonder about the mentors! clearly, Naomi campbell will be there, as she's the executive producer and really the one responsible for the show happening. i really got the feeling that her and Coco butted heads and didn't get along very well. her and KK had their disagreements, but they've actually been friends outside of this show for years and Naomi has talked about how much she loves KK several times in promotion of this show. i haven't heard her speak as fondly about Coco.

will she keep all 3 of them as mentors? would KK or Coco want to be on season 2? who might replace them if one or both of them leave? aaaahhh!!! the questions the questions!!

^^I'm not sure about Coco's status with Naomi as of recent times. But I know Naomi went up to Coco backstage many years ago to compliment Coco's walk (I think Coco was still a teenager doing shows).

It looks like Zilin was really offended by some of the things Coco said about the Chinese language and Zilin's accent. She wrote something on twitter about Coco making fun of the language and culture...
I'm sure that's enough to infuriate Naomi (seeing how Naomi reacted with Devyn's "I'm not black" statement).

I hope Coco doesn't come back. Her team didn't win any challenges in season 1 and she is just an unpleasant person in general. Her comments about the Chinese language and Zi-lin's accent is just her true colors peeping out.

^ I totally agree. She is awful. I don't think she is even that great always with her mouth open she think she is better than everyone else.

I love Coco & she is needed for the industry and therefore show!

While Naomi is her incredible diva self, it is wonderful to see how "nice" and grounded Karolina & Coco are. Aspiring models & TV audiences needs to see that there great models act with integrity and are super smart.

Coco's professional success & her personal stance on what she will & won't model for, proves to aspiring models that one can have personal standards and beliefs. 99% of aspiring models will kowtow to an industry that will literally use and abuse you if you are not careful. (And even if you are careful it is possible). Even if its rare and not the common practise in the industry, it's super important to show there is another way. On ANTM the "ubiquitous nude shot" is in there every cycle and anyone who says no automatically gets booted out.

Both Karolina and Coco held their own against Naomi. I hope all 3 come back despite the fact that I've noticed the same dynamic with Naomi & Coco also.

The issue with Coco is that she buys into her title of "Queen of Posing" with her ridiculous 160 poses in 60 seconds. I'm sorry but it just looks ******** and not awesome. Is she the only one that doesn't know that?

Coco is a good poser, I think that makes up for her so-so walk. I mean, Naomi rules the runway, and KK is just as graceful with those long legs of hers.

yeah, Naomi is legendary on the runway. KK has a great walk too, though - i imagine she'd be considered amongst the best catwalkers of the 2000s for sure. Coco might not be amazing on the catwalk, but she's just so completely unique in the way she looks and in her style of modeling, she's got a lot going for her. i actually think her individuality might have been a bit of a hinderance for the girls on her team. the way that Coco models is very particular to her, and her instructions didn't seem to translate as well to the team. i really liked her on the show, though.

obviously Naomi isn't going anywhere. and KK won the competition and many of the challenges, plus she's really won over a lot of new fans with her endearing and sincere personality. so i hope to see her on Season 2. i hope to see Coco come back, as well. but if she doesn't - who do you think will take her place? they'd need a real dynamic model with a strong personality. and also someone who has had enough professional success to be a legit mentor. maybe Shalom Harlow or Karen Elson or someone newer? i don't know, it's hard to cast, actually.

How fantastic would that be . Christy Turlington might need to be persuaded, though.

I think Kate Moss would be fantastic to front the UK version alongside Noami and whoever else. Kate's personality would be well received and would guarantee the ratings - worldwide. I look forward to hearing news about the UK version and to know whether Karolina and Coco would return for a second series.
