The Face with Naomi Campbell

I feel less excited when Anne V and Lydia Hearst are the new coaches. Pardon me but before i read the announcement, i didn't even know who they are, and after googling them, i was disappointed.

Those two are obviously several steps down from the likes of KK and Coco. They better bring the crazy.

Which is sad because I liked this show over Next Top Model because the drama was kept low, it showcased the girls' strengths/weaknesses in shoots and gigs that were genuine and not questionably staged like Tyra's show. So with no other true supermodel other than Naomi, and if they resort to crazy to keep viewers' interest, this show will go down the path of NTM, which to me would be a downgrade. Nothing against Anne V but I don't consider her in the same league as KK or Coco. And despite the Hearst name, I didn't know who Lydia was and had to google her.

I'm excited for Anne V., I think she's been getting a lot of work lately, she can do commercial as much as HF so I'm sure she'll do well.
Lydia on the other hand ... yeah, we'll see how it goes.

And The Face UK edition, when does it start? I can't wait to see Caroline

I've lost a lot of interest in this show. I don't have a clue who Lydia is and even though I like Anne V, she's no KK. I love Naomi but I hope that she doesn't steamroll Anne and Lydia. KK was great as she was fair, stood her ground and wasn't afraid to eliminate a weak Naomi girl.

Hopefully its nothing to do with the face cos the quote is not a propos.

I only miss KK, I think I'd be very frustrated if Coco was my mentor for that show.

Anne V may not be on the level of KK or Coco, but she definitely has a ton of experience that she brings to the table. She's really been an incredibly successful model and has had a great career. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue pretty much every year for about a decade, growing and varied amounts of high fashion work, experience dealing with the press thanks to her relationship to Adam Levine, etc. I think she brings something interesting to the table.

Lydia Hearst, though? That's a bit of a joke, to be honest. Surely, Naomi could have found someone with some more genuine modelling experience.

Haha thinking the same thing. To me Lydia is sort of like the original Serena van der Woodsen, but with modelling experience.

^ Some of us know who she is that's why we think she's a joke because she got into modeling and given a handful of covers because her family owns the hearst publishing empire. She's less of a model and more of a celebutante.
