The Hair "Down There"

I went back to shaving now because I started to have ingrown hair...which was a complete disaster! dont know if I like shaving though....I hate that I have to shave daily

This is probably sound ridiculous, but I have never, ever, ever taken a razor to my pubic hair. Once when I was about thirteen I took some gardening scissors to the sides because I was wearing a dancing costume that was very thin at the front and I didn't want anything potentially poking out, and it was so itchy I was bleeding and covered in scabs by the end of the competition I was at. Since then i've never touched it, I mean, if you can't see it outside your knickers, which I never can, even with the tiniest pants, it's not an issue is it?

sometimes its not about clothes or swim wear but I know some guys prefer to have girls bare during intercourse but i think it should always be a personal preference not what a partner wants you to do.. Any guy that wants me all waxed I say "yeah when you do it" because its double standards lol I like everything very minimal and tidy and i use an electric shaver for that but I dont like waxing lol

There used to be a guy at my highschool who had that cartoon on his shirt....he thought he was such a bad a**

anybody recommend a good DIY wax you can buy that doesn't need to be microwaved?

you can get Veet warm wax in Europe (dont know about outside Europe) and you can just put it the whole pot in a pan with hot water and then it melts quite quickly! It worked fine for me!

I've tried it too.. On other parts of my body though, but I found it incredibly messy. Did you have the same experience?

First I had to get used to it but after a while it worked very well...but nevertheless yes it was quite messy!

thank you guys, i'm just going to have to experiment a bunch i guess ahah... i don't own a microwave!

Yeah, that's the best way to find out what works for you!
But as Ella-Piccobella said, use a deep pan, pour water in and buy a pot of wax that's meant to be heated and put in it the pan without it touching the bottom (hence, also, the water) for 10-15 minutes or whatever it says on the pot ^_^

good luck!

I'm afraid of waxing.
I'm the biggest wussy on the planet

so I shave.
my bf doesnt complain so I guess it's okay

alright, in the hunt to be hairless :smile:lol:smile: i have picked up a tub of this natural botanical wax called Moom... which i am going to attempt to use tonight! eeeekk! haha, well i figure everyone is entitled to their waxing horror story, so this will probably be mine
oh dear! i will report back!

this is gonna sound like a weird question but is it just as painful as normal waxing?
because I remember watching something on telly years ago about an australian woman who had created a pain free wax... I thought (hoped) this might be the one.

i have only ever used nads and sally hansen in my life. it's not pain free, but it doesn't hurt that much. the sally hansen was a horrible experience.
i'd say that nads would be the one you heard about though, because she is very famous in australia for creating the company.

what do you girls use to treat razor burn/in grown hair/red bumps caused by shaving down there? every once in a while I'll get red razor bumps on my bikini line and I'm scared to use regular moisturizer bc I think it will just inflame it more. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Reading all this stuff about at-home waxing has me unsettled. Several times I've tried at home wax kits, different brands, heat, no heat, you name it. And I just can't do it. Either I am not a good esthetician (most likely) or the product doesn't work so well, or I just have no nerves for the "ripping" step. Being a student with little income I'll try it from time to time thinking I'll save money and DIY but each time it doesn't work and goes unused and is just a waste of money. Even being a poor student, I'd rather drop the money and get it done at a salon with results that are worth every penny. It's so much smoother and last longer. It's worth the price even if I can't afford it every month. But kudos to those of you brave and skilled enough to wax yourself! I wish I could but it just never is even a little successful so I stopped trying.
