The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

Not exactly a "how do I get this look?" question, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good, cheaper knock-off of the following:

Those colours seem pretty common. Why don´t you go to a store and look for them? ;)

Great thread

Hiary's blush and lipstick in the first pic, any products recs?
and Natalie's shimmery eyeshadow in the sec pic, where can i find the same shades with the same shimmer? n since natalie and i have the same eye shape, how do i apply it the same way exactly?

use a clear beige-ish eyeshadow with glitter and use your second finger and apply it gently and smoothly. don't go overboard though. you might end up looking a bit trashy.

For Hilary's look. I suggest MAC Blushcreme blush in Lady Blush, Blossoming or Lillcent.

and for the lips... I'd stick with MAC. For lipstick - Viva Glam V Lipstick - Viva Glam III and Viva Glam IV. For lipgloss, you can never go wrong with Lustregloss in Wonderstruck, Flusterose and Pinkarat! Let me know how it goes! =D

Oh yeah ^^ oops.
dont forget to use mascara! maybe... the chanel ebony one. or for something more economical, use - the maybelline XXXXL one. that's suppose to be good.

I can only say that asking for foundation advice based on pictures is pretty tricky.
You can only look for what suits you and of course it all comes to what kind of skin you have, the state it´s in...basically whatever you are looking for will depend on your skin, and not on Ashley´s.

She´s 18 and has nice skin, so she maybe not even wearing foundation but some tinted moisturizer and concealer, or even just concealer.

As for blush, she is wearing some peach blush that seems to have a bit of glow, you could look for something similar from Bourjois.
But them again, it may not suit you...

^ lol I'm 18 and I have a pretty good skin so I thought Ashley's foundation would suit me but you're right *going to Sephora :p * Thanks ;)

The link doesn´t work either, but if you are refering to the pics with her and the baby: yes, it´s liquid eyeliner.

Thanks Sofialuv, you´re a doll.

I love that eye make up. I´m gonna try it.
I´ll waste heaps of cotton pads and remover....but´I´ll master it!

^ yeah u will waste a hell lot of cotton pads and stuff and maybe not get it from the first nor sec time, because this kinda eye makeup needs practiced and focused hands, but eventually u will ;)

How can I acheive Gisele's VS look?

Hair- Although I know her hair is somewhat naturally curly, the stylists must to something to make the waves so voluptuous and perfect...what can I do to make my hair have those fabulous cascading curls?

Makeup- Particularly I love her makeup for the VS Ipex (see attached pics), how should I do the smokey eyes ( i have brown eyes & brown hair) and also learn to accentuate my cheekbones?

I appreciate everyone' s advice! You are all AMAZING, and I will let you know if the look works out:heart:

primaballerina please post credits for the pictures you have posted or they will have to be removed :flower:

primaballerina, just look trough this tread, the smokey eye is the more questioned and answered look. ;)

As for the blush, you can see very well in the 1st pic, how the bronzer was apllied just bellow the cheek to accentuate the face and the cheekbones.
Use also a bit on the chin to pull the whole look together.
Finish the look using a gold highlighter uner the browbone and on the inner corners of the eyes.
