The How Do I Get This Look? Thread

Thats so gorgeous, I think after school's over I'm going to screw my starightening iron and line up of products and just scrunch it with Beach Waves. I want her tan right now!

Help! How To Do This Look?

I fell in LOVE with this model. And I love this makeup. Any tips on how to achieve this look, especially some recommendation on what lip colours are similar, would be MUCH appreciated.

How Do I Get This Look ?

I'm sure there is a similar thread somewhere, tried using the search engine
but couldn't find it. Mods please merge this if you find it :flower:

I'm wondering how I can achieve this eye make up look ?
Colours/ brand/ applying ?

for your eyes use a matte brown eyeshadow (MAC) and apply it on your upper and lower lids. i have a brown Elizabeth Arden e/s that would come close, but it contains some golden specks (dunno the name though cos it's a color in a quad)

get a shimmery white eyeshadow, or better get MAC Pigment in Frost (it looks as glittery as in the pic when applied) and apply it with a fine eyeliner brush (wet) on the outer rims ouf your eyes, more in the inner corners.

then take darkbrown mascara and apply one coat to upper lashes

^ Agree with the Mac Pigment in Frost, or Mac e/s White Frost or Phloof!

For the lips....just a lip tint like Urban Decays Lip Ink in Bitten and some lipbalm like Rosebud Salve.

Not exactly how do I get this look, but..can anybody recommend a really good silver eyeshadow? Preferrably cream.

i love this look. any tips pleaasssee! especially the lips, how can i achieve that shade and gloss. this makeup is from the versace show, do you think its versace brand makeup or no? thanks i.a !

^ I did something similar on a friend.... MAC bamboo on crease, Mac ricepaper on lid with Mac Goldmine in the inner eye, lips were Mac Nymphette which is really similar to that shade and even has the slight gold specks in it.

^for that, i would just use a pink shadow for the base (cheap:jane in prom, steep:chanel or dior). if you can find a candy pink in that shade with shimmer then use that. if not, use a shimmer over the pink (cheap:jane loose shimmer, steep:chanel shimmer). so obviously from the picture, you use it from the brow bone to the end of the eyelid. use a thin sweep of it under the lashline. for the black, just use liquid eyeliner (cheap:nyc liquid liner, steep:anyotherbrand), and draw a line from the corner of the upper lashline and extend it about a centimeter. then a little bit above that extended part, draw another extension, but a little bit longer. connect the two by making them thicker, until they are connected. just make black "squares" across the eyelid the same height as the two extensions are. i know i didnt make much sense, but thats how to do it!

sorry the pics aren't the best, but I want to know not only HOW to get this smoky eye look, but also the tools/colours i need to achieve it.
I have good m/u brushes, but feel like i keep buying the same shades of shadow over and over and going for a safe, neutral brown eye.
i really want to be able to create something like this, but no idea where to start & what to buy. can someone write me a list so i know what i need/already have?
also, do you think this look would suit blue eyes?
thanks so much to anyone who replies (links to tutorials are great too, if you can't be bothered explaining!)

Sorry to repost ... but I am desperate to acheive this look !!!

**Please do not quote**

dewy foundation (Clinique Perfectly Real), bronzer on cheeks and for contouring (Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder) -> Good brush is needed,

for eyes: shimmering light beige eyeshadow under browbone to highlight (MAC has several ones, just go to a store and look which colors suit your skintone best). then take a darkbron e/s, apply on upper lid and blend well to the crease. then i'd suggest a darkbrown (almost black) khol liner and darkbrown mascara (or black, it's not that clear from the picture)

for lips it looks as if she's only wearing lipbalm, maybe take a lightly tinted one if you don't have naturally red lips
