i'm not sure if this is the right thread but.. i have alot of headbands and i need something to "put them on" instead of just having them laying around on a table. any suggestions?

I'm moving to a new home soon and I'm thinking of completely re-doing my room. I've had the same ugly white ikea furniture for OVER A DECADE NOW and it's definitely time for a change. Here's my plan:

Old-world-chic complete with comfy armchair and an antique flip-top writer's desk (which I already bought and it's gorgeous!). I'll post photos at the end of the month when the paint is dry, the floor is laid in, and all the furniture is placed. I'm so excited!

^i totally get what you mean!!
im moving out of my current student halls next year into my own flat, been so obsessing over interior decor as well.
well since i can practically only afford ikea for now, i kept going to ikea a lot.
it seems like you are a bold color person and im a minimalist so i dont know if my sources would help much. i usually just go to my school library or bookshops to check out interior design books.
i find even going to real estate sites and looking at other people's places give me inspiration.

Im redecorating my appartment. i dont have a big budget, so i have to do it bit by bit.

Most expensive is a new sofa, so that has to wait a while.

Already found this great old chair for 12 euro and now i am searching for an old trunk to use as coffee table..

I love finding great things online and in second hand stores

Umm.... google BUT you can find them at any antique store pretty much. The few stores I frequent always have trunks in stock. Or you can look at one that caters to movie prop buyers, they also have many interesting things! Prices I've seen are usually somewhere between $30-50. Which is much much cheaper than you'll find at a trendy store... and they're authentically worn!

i love old trunks too! funnily since im a big minimalist fan but i think one or two old things around make the room more down to earth.
