The Mascara Thread

Really?? That is so strange, it doesn't flake on me at all  Could you have gotten a really old tube or something?

I don't think so, because it happened with more than one tube... Perhaps my eyelashes just do not like Diorshow :doh:

^ And around here it doesn't get a chance to get old because it sells really well ... I dunno ... maybe there's some weird chemistry thing involved, since people are getting such different results

Well the reason I tried it initially was because one of my girlfriends uses it religiously, and it's incredible on her eyelashes. Thickens them, makes them incredibly dark & long and is just generally amazing. I unfortunately didn't have the same result... But oh well! It's just not meant to be for me!

^_^

I have been using Lancome Definicils again, and.... Wow. I remember why I loved this so much. It's definately up there with Givenchy Captiv'Eyes & YSL Faux Cils for me!

i agree that diorshow is overhyped. it looks good, but not fantastic on me.

i really liked CG lashblast, but when i finished my first orange tube, i got sucked into trying the new CG lashblash luxe. no good at all! it doesn't get my lashes half as thick as the standard lashblast for some reason.

I love YSL volume false lash effect mascara in black. I wear contacts and besides that I have really sensitive eyes. No clumps, contact lens safe, makes my eyelashes look great. It works for me!

My roomie kept on raving about the new(ish) Maybelline Stiletto mascara, so I finally bought one the other day and am loving it! The consistency is perfect so that it's easy to layer without it clumping. It adds a lot of length, and its staying power is excellent, as good as the waterproof mascara I used to use.

^ I was disappointed w Lash Stiletto, it didn't really do that much for me. I think it's so funny how different things work for different people. The Givenchy one I love has actually made my lashes grow a little bit too, I don't know how but there must be something in the formula that just reacted in a nice way w my lashes lol

I'm really clueless on what mascara works best. i always see commercials and ads saying how good one is. The DiorShow one looks really good though but not sure. Maybe covergirl works too

I bought that, but i gave it to my friend, i prefer Yves saint Laurent's ever long instate!! i have loyal user of that product. its a dream! I RECOMEND HIGLY! No clumps, and you can have natural lashes or really sexy ones

hey, anyone tried to Lancome vibrating mascara??? what are your thoughts cause I need to get a new mascara, and want to try something different!!!
thanks:flower:

Well, here's a tip, stay away from Estee Lauder Turbo Lash. It's absolutely DREADFUL! It clogs, doesn't curl, and flakes. Rubbish.

Don't buy Revlon Lash Fantasy OR L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen,
the L'Oreal does not volumise, it only lenghthens and the formular is a little sticky.
The best so far is MaxFactor 2000 Calories which gives you fat lashes without clumping.

I used to be a big fan of Max Factor 2000 Calorie as a budget mascara, but I tried L'Oreal Lash Architect Carbon Gloss and I really like it! My only complaint about 2000 Calorie was that it made my lashes feel really hard, whereas Lash Architect doesn't (although I always seem to go back to 2000 Calorie!)

I recently bought a chanel mascara, i've never had so many compliments about my lashes.

I just tried BadGal Lash (by Benefit) and I have to say, I'm impressed. I like my VS one however the Benefit gives me good length and some volume but not too much-and I like how the formula is a thinner one.

i never had any luck with badgal. i used it years ago though, so maybe the formula has changed/improved. it didn't really make my lashes thick, just long and wispy, which isn't the effect i like.

i am almost done with my tube of covergirl lashblast luxe, which wasn't as good as the standard covergirl lashblast in the orange tube. luxe performed like your standard mascara, but didn't wow me the way the regular lashblast did when i used it. i already picked up rimmel's sexy curves mascara, but i noticed it has a crazy brush and i'm not usually fan of working with those. we'll see!

Hi guys, anyone have any thoughts on Clinique's High Impact Mascara? Thinking of buying it tomorrow. I'm a Lancome Hypnose girl.
