^if they like you...they'll get a hold of you
if they dont like you..they wont

right nows a busy time for them though..so if it takes them a few weeks to get a hold of you..dont be offended

I just sent them out right now. I know that =) but do you know how their agency works?

Alright thanks. Question: How reliable is the online application, do they actually check up on the computer apps.?

im sure they do check the online apps. however...its fashion week casting time right now so new york agencies are REALLY REALLY busy.

it could take them a few weeks until they look them over

I'm also planning on actually going into NYC as well, I live close enough to take the train. So if I do go, do I bring polaroids? I don't have a porfolio or anything. I just started thinking about this seriously lately and have been told that I should do this now, so any tips for this? And how soon will I make money if I get signed?

it depends with everything about the money.. but you shouldnt do it for the money. you should do it only if you love it1

Well, it sorta *is* about the money. If you're not making money, you're going into debt. Yes, it takes drive and determination and passion, but when a boy or girl stops making money is when he or she stops loving the agency real quick.

yeah but modelling is so demanding..... you have to have some emotion towards it. that something will set you a part fromthe other money driven models. beleive me clients look for it. i know.

is it not a good time to go for walk ins then, since its casting time? (im in london but it should b around the same as ny im assuming?)

Does anyone know anything about Small Group Models or Dynasty Models?

Also, regarding show season, will they not sign on new models at this time?

Where is Small Group and Dynasty located?

No one takes on new models during show season in the respective market. New York fashion week: No agencies in new york taking new faces.

I thought I'd go to Milan between 22nd and 27th of February.
So... It appears to be the worst time ever to go there, right? :(

So would it be better to go there in March? Or it's too soon?
When is the best time?

The best time is any time but show season lol. Show season is crazy!

How long is "show season" for them? I realize that it's around fashion week but when does it approximately begin/end for them? How much before the actual fashion week and how much, if any, after?

Small Group is a mother agency located in New York. According to cutxpaste, they've placed girls with Ford and Vision!! :woot:

Dynasty is based in Boston but has satellite locations in New York and another area.

I was wondering if there are any other opinions on those agencies.
