With lots of models trying to be an actress, which one do you think was able to bring their beauty from pages/fotos to the Big Screen?


For me I think it was Carre Otis in Wild Orchid.......Her beauty in that steamy movie was unmatched by any supermodels around....She's Perfection in that Movie!

I can't think of any supermodel (not somene who modeled occasionally but someone who is famous for modelling) who has become a serious actress. Can anyone here? I'm not talking about Uma Thurman, Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, etc. They were never famous as models. But people like Gisele, Kate Moss, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, etc. rarely make the crossover to serious actress.

A lot of those women aren't taken seriously as actresses. Jodie Foster has been a famous actress since she was a child. While she may have done some modelling, she was always known for her acting. Ursula Andress will forever be known as a bond girl, Brooke Shields will always be a child model turned actress (And of course the gerber baby), farrah fawcett doesn't exactly scream serious actress. Do you see what I mean? ALso, how many of those women were household names when they were models?

Carre Otis really bring it in the movie Wild Orchid!

I saw a lot of models ( cindy, amber,shalom, claudia ) on film, but they look ok and I was not blown away by their beauty ,,, I much prefer them on the Vogue Pages. But Carre's beauty dominate that movie from start to finish!

Paulina Porizkova in ALIBI is a close second
