The Official Harry Potter Thread

There's a pretty interesting article here on a behind-the-scenes report of Bill and Fleur's wedding!

(which I'm not sure how they're going to make it work though, since Bill was never mentioned in the movies and Fleur was never heard of again after GoF...)

I never knew we have a HP thread! :woot: ^I can't wait to see some wedding pictures! Since a majority of people watching HP have already read the books, I'm sure they'll just go along with the movie ^_^ There are more important scenes than the wedding! :D

Wow long time since I updated

In the next Harry Potter film, most of the action takes place outside the hallowed halls of Hogwarts Castle.

The seventh, and last, book in J.K. Rowling's series about the boy wizard –Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows– is being broken into two films, the first part coming out next November, the second part in 2011.

The first installment finds young wizards Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) struggling to find their way in the Muggle (human) world, with their own lives in the balance and the fate of the magical realm in their hands.

"They're paranoid," says Grint. "It's quite a scary world because the Snatchers and Death Eaters are running around everywhere. Harry, Ron and Hermione are just camping out in random places, living rough, in regular clothes." Snatchers and Death Eaters are minions of the evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).

Grint adds, grinning: "Me and Dan actually have some stubble." His facial hair served as a kind of invisibility cloak for the lanky, redheaded Grint, who went unrecognized by fans recently while on location in the Welsh countryside. Dubbed a "road movie" by producer David Heyman, Hallows was envisioned by director David Yates as more grounded in reality than the previous Potter movies.

"It's going to feel very real," Yates says. "We're going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they're like these three refugees on the run. They're out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don't have a home to go to.

"We're kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it," he says.

WB sent the HQ pic to The Leaky Cauldron

I'm pretty sure that they are in the Trocadero Centre which is between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square for those who don't know London. See the cinema sign behind Dan's head. There's is a cinema in the Trocadero and the walls of the place are green. It's kind of like a mall FYI.

^yeah, that's why I check whole serie from first year! The movies were actually pretty good. I guess I liked third and forth were my favorites.

more h/hr scenes in deathly hallows + naked danrad
A few days ago we showed you an article noting that Dan Radcliffe would be bare for The Silver Doe scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Today, Snitch Seeker has uncovered a new interview with Deathly Hallows director David Yates, which was posted by LaVibra.com a couple weeks ago. The interview has more comments from Yates about Dan's nude scenes, revealing that there are actually two times the clothes will come off (please note that the text is a rough translation):

"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film [where he] will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it.

"It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) [are] trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). He tries to defend [himself] and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, [and there are a] series of images between which are Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about reaction of Rupert (who Hermione is in love).

Radcliffe will [also] appear [bare during] a scene where the young wizard is about to die and be reunited with the soul of Professor Dumbledore in a season London Underground.

"There is another scene in Kings Cross station (St Pancras), where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene will also be naked," he added.

Later in the interview, Yates reveals a new scene they shot for Deathly Hallows that is one of his favorites:

"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did is a part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a part where Hermione and Harry dance together and not in the book, is something we created for the film and is actually very tender and a very nice and respectful reveal some secrets from each other while dancing, "

I'd rather see Rubert Naked! WTF Dan we've all seen it already! haha

omg super excited to see that they are keeping the conversation with Dumbledore in at the end!

A year is too much for me

The rumors sound like they're being more true to the books

just found this thread on tfs! so glad to see theres still people out there supporting HP!

just wanna say, and im not tryna be a hater here, but that twilight nonsense has NOTHING on hp. i barely got through the 1st 2 books, and i felt like i was reading some needy chicks diary or something. its child's play compared to the ish that goes down in HP. cant say i didnt try it lol but after attempting to see what the hype is about and not being amazed at all, im a full fledged PotterHead through and through. eff this Team Edward business, SUPPORT CEDRIC DIGGORY!!

What? I hope they don't turn this into H/Hr. I know Steve Kloves is a **********ing shipper and he loves Emma Watson whatever, but after Book 6 don't you think it's time to STOP shoving H/Hr down people's throat? It's confusing enough how Ginny came into this whole thing, especially for those who don't follow the books, and now you just have to do another H/Hr scene so that the audience could say "what? that redhead chick probably bewitched Harry -- she is not pretty and Hermione should be with Harry instead". I hate you script writer.

If they have a slo-mo showing Hermione walking in her wedding attire instead of focusing on how beautiful Fleur is supposed to look, I'm gonna lose it in the theater. :judge: I really have enough of this "Hermione is the main girl because Emma Watson is pretty and Kloves is a pedo".

OMFG I didn't read that properly the other day. WTF is this. Since they didn't actually break Harry & Ginny up in HBP movie like in the book they should have Harry and Ginny dancing in a scene. There needs to be way more Harry & Ginny in the first part you know like long looks at each other and holding hands etc. If they take out the birthday kiss in her bedroom I will be so f*cking angry. Sometimes I feel that Yates is a H/Hr shipper too.

I HATE Kloves. Considering he still thought right until Ron & Hermione kissed in DH that in his words "it could have gone either way" (re H/Hr or R/H) he doesn't understand the whole Potter story. He actually said that to Jo. I hope she rolled her eyes at him and walked off.

Anyway this is a major SPOLIER

ET Canada has released the first behind-the-scenes look at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, including Bill and Fleur dancing at their wedding, Harry, Ron, and Hermione in what seems to be the Burrows' reeds, and the trio in Hogsmead.

Ginny and Grindelwald Dating
Ginny & Grindelwald
Young, pretty Harry Potter Brits dating. I’m all over it.

The latest:

Bonnie Wright who plays Ginny and Jamie Campbell Bower who will be Gellert Grindelwald were spotted this past weekend leaving the EA British Academy Children’s Awards together. Very cute.

Grindelwald of course was at one time Dumbledore’s best friend before he became his bitter enemy. But before hate there is love. And Dumbledore was “inflamed” by his relationship with GG. Can’t wait to see this chemistry. Jamie, as you can see, is gorgeous. And Young Dumbledore will be played by Toby Regbo, attached, also gorgeous. Shut UP Duana. I can hear you.

It’s not the only reason to see HP7 A&B but it is definitely one of many.

As for Bonnie and Jamie, well it’s about time two cast members hooked up. You’d think it would have already happened at least 2 movies ago.

They definitely make a cute couple. But now I can already imagine what fanfic this would spawn... :ninja:
