Hey, sorry if it comes out as a stupid question but is there any way to buy premiere tickets online? :P

the end of our youth is nigh... oh this makes me a bit nostalgic right now, watching that trailer, remembering my first Harry Potter book purchase..

since we had the Oliver Wood question a couple pages back...
it's him in the trailer

Yay, Oliver Wood! I thought that was him but I couldn't tell for sure.
And Narcissa Malfoy! I still hate the hair but I guess I'll survive.
What is that scene with Harry pulling Voldemort off a cliff thing, though? We do have footage of both Harry getting AKed and the final duel. I remember this was discussed before on cosforums but I COMPLETELY forgot the conclusion we came to and there's no way anyone can get through so many posts. I'm sure Harry isn't revived TWICE, lol.

^I think that scene is part of their battle AFTER Voldemort "kills" Harry the first time.
That's why Voldemort asks him at one point, "Why do you live?"
But I think they added that cliff falling scene, to add more action to their fight.
They probably land un-scathed at the bottom due to some magical charm or something.

And Oh sweet! I didn't know that was Oliver Wood on the broom. That's awesome!
Hopefully they don't kill him off. I can't remember if he dies in the book or not.
So many characters got killed off.

oh Fred! ... as heartbreaking as it's going to be to watch it, I'm glad they didn't cut that scene from the film, and tonks and lupin that looks interesting as well... I better bring tissues... I can't believe it's the end. So eager to watch it yet I never want it to end.

I just screamed watching the trailer, the finale seems awesome
It's terribly sad though realising it's all coming to an end  Can't believe it's been more than 10 years since it's started.. I feel like growing up with the characters/cast (can't really separate them right?) and witnessing every bits of their journey. And the scene of Fred dying made me tear up even more..

^14 Years to be exact. I've been a fan since I was 12 years old. I'm now working on my second Bachelor's degree in college. Harry Potter has literally been there basically my whole life. It's insane how much time has flown! It seems like yesterday I was waiting in line for the last book and now the last movie is right around the corner. It's really hard to process and I already know I'm going to bawl like a big 'ol baby in the theaters.

But I can't wait to see it. I love this story. I love the characters and I love the filmmakers who have brilliantly brought it to life for the past 11 years. :D

Goshdarnit, I hope whatever they come up with to let Harry and Voldemort survive that fall isn't too ridiculous. I suppose they wouldn't make it anything stupid, though.

I kind of love that shot of Snape at Godric's Hollow. I'm definitely not a Snape fan, but Alan Rickman has a way of making my heart go out to the character. Even when you only see the silhouette of his back.

And that glimpse in the trailer was actually the first time I've liked Natalia Tena as Tonks.

^I have always loved Snape since the beginning. I knew he would turn out to be good in the end. And how his Patronus was a doe because of Lily. It is very sad. ... lol

Harry Potter has been around my whole life too. The first book was published in the US in September 1998. I bought it that year and I was 8 years old. I am turning 21 in July this year. More than half of my life so far has been with Harry Potter. lol

I will be sad to see it end and I know I am going to ball my eyes out in the theatre. But I am happy to know that the books will always be there whenever I want to read them and the movies to watch.

*Spoiler*

I will be honest, I've never liked Snape. Never.
There was always a part of me that knew he may have been working for the good side all along, but still I don't think that meant he was a good person.

I thought he was malicious up until the day he died.
However, he is very much the anti-hero.
Without him, Voldemort may never have been destroyed.
He played an instrumental part in that, but he never did it for Harry, Dumbledore, or anyone else, but Lily.

JK Rowling actually said in an interview once that if Snape had not been so obsessed with the dark side, Lily probably would have fallen in love with him and married him. Snape set his own course. He can't blame that on anyone else, but himself. But throughout the whole series, he constantly blamed it on James and then punished James' son for it.

Thank god I'm not the only one on tFS who doesn't like Snape! I know he has non-fans elsewhere such as lj and cosforums, but he gets so much praise in this thread. There were hints along the way that he was actually good, but a teacher treating a student like he does is absolutely inappropriate. He dug his own hole and tried to push someone else's son into it.

+1 for not-fans-of-Snape club.
Can't say I hated him but I always found his love for Lily a bit clichéd and someone like him should never EVER be allowed to be a teacher.

^I didn't say that I thought he was a good person. Snape definitely was not a good person, but he was a complex character and that's what I liked.

^He's definitely complex. All the characters are (that's why I love them), but Snape definitely had some issues.
So did Dumbledore. I guess that's why Dumbledore always stood up for him.

i believe Snape was a bad person deep down, but him not turning to the bad side shows how much he loved Lily. i think he was very torn about it but because of her he stayed strong.
and although it's terrible how he treated Harry i think it's understandable. jealousy can easily turn into hatred and it's easier to hate someone (James for being with Lily) than to admit that it's your own fault (since like Sobriquet already mentioned Lily probably would've fallen in love with him hadn't he been into the bad side). Harry always reminded him of the loss of his love and his own failure so instead of dealing with that he turned on Harry.

i don't know if that makes any sense, i just mean that although i can't say that i support his actions i can at least understand them to some extend
