I think it was 2-3 years ago I saw a video clip on mtv, this song arranged to Beethoven's symphony, the famous one for Napoleon (is it #5 or #9 I always mix up the two) and the video clip is this guy walking in times square. It is not by Bee Gees, but very similar sounding. The chorus goes something like "when I get you alone... If anyone knows what song I am talking about I would greatly appreciate your help.

and the band and singer sound SO much like The Cranberries/Dolores O'riordan!!!!!!!

Or, at the very least, if you know any bands/singers that sound a lot like Dolores/cranberries, that might help too

Try going to www.allmusicguide.com and type in The Cranberries and when you do that they should list artists that are like that artist. If the person you are looking for sounds like them they should be there......
