:heart::heart::wub:ooh Rafa looks soo hot in his practice shots

i cant wait to the US open so i can see him live in action
i hope the security can stop me from trying to jump on him:lol::lol:

thanks:flower: Chaky

I knew Petzschner was going to be dangerous but very bad match from Rafa, not happy & not playing well. Even when it went to 5 with Haase, I didn't worry too much because he was playing well but I didn't have so much confidence today but he won and gets another chance on monday. The knee problem is permanent - I don't know if we can criticise the time outs just because he didn't slip or wasn't obviously injured.

ALLEZ GILLES!

Schedule for Monday is out already but it pretty much sucks for me as I'm back at work. :( Typical Murray always scheduled last on a weekday.

^omg,i hope that's not true!

well, nice match for kim. i was watching and kept wondering where juju's slice and why she wasn't volleying much? those were aspects that really helped her run and kept the final against momo interesting. i understand she wants to be more aggressive but i feel like she's all but abandoned her great variety that made her such a distinctly great champ.

Glad to see Roger go past Melzer pretty quickly/easily after the troubling first two rounds.

And well done by Sharapova to hang in there with Serena Williams; I think she's improved so much since the French and hopefully, she'll just get better and better. I think it was a good run, after being knocked out in the first or second round in the past few Wimbledons.

Upset of the tournament so far? I feel so bad for Andy but Lu played amazingly and totally deserved the win no question about that, just disappointing Andy couldn't play better.

Went to Wimbledon today & got to see Rafa practising, really awesome :D

Andy was a bit lacklustre there at the end. He'll be massively disappointed. But who predicted Yen-Hsun Lu would do so well?

And on the women's side you've got Kanepi and Kvitova as the surprise packages.

I wonder if Li Na can make a dent in Serena's campaign? Hopefully I can get home tomorrow in time to see some of it.

I think Justine was too agressive at the beginning, almost too eager to win. She took a tumble and really just lost her game from there.

wow!!! i know a lot of people are going to make a bigger deal out of venus being so off but tsvetana played a great match in her own right. she served strongly and mixed the pace on her shots. good match from her.

and now kim is out to vera. although i hate to see kim gone,i am very happy to see vera, whom i like very much, back in the mix again. nice to see her playing well and moving well again too!

Hingis and Kournikova look good together, they should return

^why in the world are 29 year olds playing "legends" is what i want to know? that seems odd to me. i thought that it was usually reserved for retired players 35 and over. they couldn't have asked for a w/c to enter the main draw?

anyway, conchita and nathalie tauziat is playing together against martina navratilova and novotna. i wish they televised that part of the event here in the states but they never do.

^ maybe after this they will, they look good on court, they could play doubles.

well there is talk of martina returning either just on the doubles circuit or both. so you never know. seems to me with this and the doubles she's playing this summer for world team tennis, she's trying to test the waters again to see where her level is at.

i agree though she was a great doubles player before she left and with her hands she could be just as successful again.

I missed all the singles matches today because I was stuck at work. :( Some really surprising results. Must say I'm thrilled for Vera though. :woot: She's worked very hard for a long time to get this sort of opportunity to reach a slam final. But she's also adopted a more mature attitude on court which is surely benefiting her now.

I did get to watch some of Hingis/Kournikova though. They were having a lot of fun out there apart from Anna getting a nasty blister on her right hand towards the end. Martina was demonstrating excellent skills. She should come back on the main doubles circuit because with the right partner I'm sure she'd do well.

She actually played an exhibition in Manchester last week which I would have gone to except I was at Wimbledon at the time.

They would get thrashed in the main draw because Kournikova's serve just wouldn't stand up. At least this way they get to have some fun on court and it's round robin so they play a few matches and lots of people get a chance to see them.
