Ok...I'm done...
Well, for my haute couture collection, I chose....the greatest collection to ever be sent down the runway...Dior Haute Couture SS 04! (followed in close second by Dior's haute couture FW collection of the same year...it was a hard choice to pick between the two!)
For my dress, I designed something that had a general triangle shape because every dress from this collection had a triangle shape, whether it had been a right-side-up triangle with the shape of the garment flaring out at the floor from a tight top, or an upside-down triangle with the garment tapering at the floor from a large top (this triangle shape keeps the eye moving around the shape of the triangle...a rather deliberate act on Galliano's part).
So, my dress is black and blue. I chose black because there wasn't enough black in the collection and I felt that the collection could have used a hint more of black. But, because the collection was so colorful, I didn't want the entire garment to be black. The bottom half (which is kind of cut off, sorry...small scaner...big paper) is a light blue, which I used to represent the Nile.
