wow! i am soooo looking forward to this movie i love everything from tim burton! and this story is one of my favorites aswell.....so this has to be brilliant especially with johnny depp!

I love Mia and think she is aesthetically and skilfully perfect for this. I think Dakota would be too young and cutsey, no?

As reported in the March 2009 edition of D23 magazine, the movie will incorporate many characters and narrative elements from Carroll's books but is essentially a new story, Alice's return to Wonderland. She is now 17 years old and someone "who doesn't quite fit into Victorian society and structure." This journey "becomes a rite of passage as she discovers her voice and herself."[2]

dakota fanning ? nooo, i think she would be indeed to cute and young for playing alice. mia is just an awesome choice

i'm sorry but i can't bear dakota fanning in every fantasy film under the stars. and besides she's still a bit tweeny for a role that's about alice as a young woman. this lovely actress seems perfect to me.

Noo why must Anne Hathaway be in this? I can't stand her. But Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp are perfectly cast.
Mia looks promising as Alice, but I don't like that first promotional picture posted. She looks like Ron Weesley.

Anne Hathaway is a pretty good actress for her age.

Unlike much of young Hollywood, she can actually act and doesn't date around like Lindsey Lohan or Paris Hilton.
