Honorable mentions to Junya Watanabe S/S 05, Isabel Marant F/W 06, Bernhard Willhelm S/S 02, Tess Giberson S/S 05, Yohji S/S 02, Anne Valérie Hash S/S 04.. gah, so many fantastic collections (not to mention those pre-00s!) but they're hard to fit in ten spots!, I think I'm mostly going for collections that I still refer to on a regular basis and that have influenced my style and my expectations on clothes and fashion in general.
There are also designers that are impossible to select one specific collection from because their work is so sequential and integrated, it's the sum of it all what makes it so influential, I think Margaret Howell, AF Vandevorst, Helmut Lang and Antonio Marras are all in that category for me.
I wonder how my list will change in another 6 years, I think there have been few collections that have inspired me in the last seasons, something by Raf's era at Jil Sander will definitely find its place, Suzuki Takayuki, Margaret Howell of course, Céline under Phoebe.. quite recently Rochas Pre-Fall 2011.
