Geez

I hope I'm allowed to make a post like this in this thread, but I feel like defending a lot of the things you guys are hating on.
First, peep-toe boots. I admit I've seen a few ugly versions, but I'm generally in love with them and have a few in my shopping cart and I'm about to check out! I think it' a nice variation on the ever popular ankle boot/shootie. I wouldn't wear them when there's snow on the ground, but most of the winter/fall isn't that snowy anyway.
Re: the pinned on knit hat: I think it's ok for a garment to serve no purpose and be strictly ornamental. Aside from protection from the elements and to hide our nudity, what else is fashion for if not adorning and expressing ourselves?
Leggings w/ or w/o various bottoms. I generally try to wear jeans as infrequently as possible b/c I feel like it's lazy dressing and I don't have a different dress for each day, so by default I wear shorts and skirts sometimes too. If the skirt/shorts are much higher than the knees, I'll pair them with leggings or tights so I don't look too "sexed up" for school. Or if it's just not very hot outside. I'll keep my legs bare if it's weekend though. If the bottom is to the knee or longer though I go without. I honestly don't see why leggings are seen as such a sin. For some outfits, they can look better than footed tights. I know it can be overdone and disgusting easily, but some people actually look really good in leggings.
Skinny jeans. WHy are they so bad? I don't even think this is trend. If it flatters your body type I don't see why you shouldn't wear them. What bothers me about jeans is when people wear a style that is unflattering for their body type.
So anyway, just to keep this on topic I still hate uggs, crocs, fake souvenir tees, and those thin rectangular eyeglass frames.
