I think that there is nothing worse than Burberry. Anything Burberry is yuk yuk yuk.

i like a lot of trends just fine... it's the OVERSATURATION that i hate-- when everyone and their dog has the trend, and keeps on wearing it. a year ago i did a 'trend board' for a class of mine, predicting a big trend and i choose to do tweed in women's wear. i LOVED tweed then... it was just starting to appear in the magazines, but not on the racks.

now, tweed is supposedly the next big thing for fall and i'm so over it already, even though i haven't seen anyone around here wearing it.

also ponchos-- i liked them in the spring, but now that even JC Penny's has them in their ads, they make me puke.

it's how fashion is for most of us who are innovators and fashion leaders: we like what we've got until it becomes accesable to the rest of the population.

Exactly right.

Just like to say, I spotted 2 fake LV's today at Kmart.

Em
Today I was at the coffee shop and two of the tables next to each other both had women with fake LV's.

Just to add to that:
I recently saw 9 year olds (no joke, they were about 9!) at the mall wearing ponchos and Ugg like boots with their jeans tucked in and fake designer bags (all from The Limited Too most likely)

I can't believe their Mother's let them walk out like that!

I have a daughter and she wears Gymboree & Gap. (I love, love Gymboree) I don't think little girls should wear "grown up or teen girl" clothing because it gives them the idea that they should act that way too. Little girls need to stay innocent and be little girls. Not mini versions of adult women. It's just kind of sad to me.

Beige (fake) Burberry scarfs and hats here...I'm so sick of seeing them, totally overused.

origin as a look???

I'm up to here  with the whole zone-explotion. As if being from a certain country makes the model who she is. Not every belgium girl look like the other.. A model is unique, regardless their background.

Omg, my nick is indie that fox in the snow seems to hate and I have bug eyes , but I'm not a model but still, I'm pretty hated

I hate cowboy boots..as a trend..

getting mine at saturday :innocent:

i just hate it when a nice, fairly flattering look becomes a TREND - like i was looking for flat shoes for about two years (the audrey hepburn ballet style) and i could not find then anywhere - i finally found a pair and paid 150+ for them, and them all of a sudden ellegirl or something features them and they're friggin everywhere and cost 30 bucks - and it's funny that the same people who raised their eyebrows at me when i wore them now have the same style in ten different colours from old navy! now i am liking the ethnic, morrocan and middle east style clothing and accessories, but i'm afraid to invest too heavily bc i'm afraid it'll be overdone

^ yeah it gets to me too when something that I love and wear for ages suddenly becomes 'trendy' - ballet flats being a perfect example. I too spent a lot a couple of years ago on one pair. but I don't complain since I've always worn them, but now I can actually afford them in every colour that I like. but to be honest, flats are really a classic...they're just going through a 'phase' right now. when it's over (which will be soon enough), they'll still look the same and be just as practical, cute and flattering.

AGREE TOTALLY, moreover, I have been looking for one of those since 2000 and nothing. I'm getting mine as soon as it gets chillier here, now that is a trend, they will finally sell them!

ps: I don't hate you:flower:

This, I agree with absolutely. I could not possibly agree more. Trendy, fairly-low quality high-street jeans with a £100+ price tag. I don't understand it at all.

Me too - and they all look the blimmin' same as well, low rise, boot cut - its so boring. Every (well it seems like it) 5 minutes theres another fashion mag cheering about another new brand of £150+ jeans - 'oh but they fit better than anyone elses, they're the best', yeah, until the next ones comes along in a few seconds time.

IMO Topshop fit better and they are more innovative with their designs than these wallet busting bootcuts.

This isn't as much of a trend as it is a general style consensus.

Those girls who wear jeans that are sprayed on, with a grommetted belt (which were never in), a pair of throwback Jordans and the huge fluffy faux NorthFace jackets (which is zipped up even when they're indoors). Generally the girls who wear that look have no *** and it makes it even worse, oh and slicked back hair into a pony tail.

Trends I hate:

Vintage
Lady-Like (it is classic, but not fresh)
High Glam (Versace Im looking in your direction)
Espadrilles (Galliano and Stella betrayed me with these nightmares)
Plastic jewelry (Just cause Chanel did it 3 seasons ago doesn't mean it's still cool, Britney is the latest victim)
Trucker Hats/Uggs (when were these in?)

Uggs! Can you believe some celebrities are STILL wearing them?

I too hate the try-hard boho look Princessleash. I once saw a picture of Katy Hill wearing head to toe bohemian pieces. It looked wrong.

I've been wearing cowboy boots for ages, and now it became a trend, overexploded... blah
