^Fur will never go away. Fake fur is just an example of how many people still like fur.

You will have to kill Chanel and other major designer houses.

Never thought of it that way, but that's so true. People like the look. And there will always be people that won't EVER wear a fake. Fake leather, fur, etc. I go back and forth on how I feel about fur because people wear it so many different ways. I'd say we have a love/hate relationship

Agree with everything except for the converse shoes. Gotta say, I love my converse.

quite honestly right now im sick of all fashion in general. i like plain, generic, things that are comfortable and in this economy i think in itself that is fashionable.

Such a great point! that is exactly how I feel about fashion at the moment. I also want stay fast, good quality items that I can mix and match over time. When I seen "trendy" people it makes me
I think I am so over all the preening of being trendy... not that I was ever that great at it in the first place.

I agree with peacelily and taste_like_chic. I'm just tired of fashion right now, I guess, even though I do like what is in trend, for the most part. I've seriously become the Queen of Basics and do not see that ending anytime soon!

^ Felt like that for months, but I think that was also do to where I was living at the time and my experiences there. I can't keep up with all the trends that these style bloggers endorse either. I think that's why I like Filippa K and Acne so much, and Uniqlo esp. I just feel exhausted and want something easy. I know that sounds so horrible and bland but I look at my closet and clothing and see interesting pieces, but no basics on which to build them. I did a big purge last year and feel much happier.

yeah i'm sort of sick of trying to keep up with all the fashion trends as they come and go at such a rapid pace.... I find myself more drawn to basics now tbh. There are certain trends that I enjoy but they are not things that I will get sick of right away.

the whole 'underwear as outerwear' trend. lots of shops have 'picked up' on it and now advertise it as the 'next big trend', but to be honest, it makes most people look pretty trashy...

I find elements of looks that I like, and then hang on to them irrespective of what 'fashion' says at the moment. I've never been a jeans person and will never dress 'boho', irrespective of how many times fashion decides it's cool. And I know it's not a 'trend' yet, but the leather t-shirt as an idea is strange- how is one supposed to sweat in those things?

As for trends I really hate, the double denim look disgusts me. As does the tendency of some hip, pretty people to wear fat black spectacle frames when their vision is 20/20. It especially annoys me when they do it in the presence of people like me, who actually need glasses because we're myopic (what's next, walking sticks?).
