The new generation of blogging.
Has anyone heard of it?
yes but what makes it different?
i heard it's harder to style
Actually, it's probably the simplest blogging website there is. Why? Because that's all you can do, is blog.
Unlike myspace where people don't even blog anymore, they just use it to chat with people.
It's basically like blogspot, except a less formal version.
And the HTML/CSS interface only took me a week to get used to until I made my own layout.
check it out.
Tumblr itself is actually a small community of people compared to, let's say myspace, so it's very much efficient and much more functional in terms of its usage as a blogging site.
I love Tumblr. It's incredibly easy to use and is definitely more about self-expression than communication, unlike a lot of other blog servers. There's no commenting or anything along those lines, which is actually kind of refreshing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
As you said, I also think it's the new generation of blogging.
People just need to discover it!
It's a little like a scrapbook.
I love the scrapbooking style It's so simple and a great way to compile things I love (if not for anyone, for me!)
yeah mine is at http://www.youmightfindyourself.com
I really love yours
Giving Tumblr a go, now, using it as a sort of supplement to Girl Meets NYC...one I can easily update more then every 2 weeks or so, unlike Girl Meets NYC. I like composing entries for GMNYC, but it's time cosuming, especially replying to all the comments, (which I love and appreciate, don't get me wrong, but it does take me like 5 hours per every 100 comments, in replying) and the fun thing about Tumblr, is I can crank out entries quickly, and just share little bits here and there. I like the format and simplicity of it all.
Here's mine: http://susannacole.tumblr.com/
Good thing I made the URL with just my name, because I keep changing the title.
I don't have one but I came across this one just this week.
I love tumblr!
i think i'm addicted to this site now, haha.
I swear this site is so horrible just for the fact that I've abandoned my previous personal blog for it.
But I love it, of course. It's insanely easy and I think really great for anyone who is just staring out blogging as well.
OH YEAH SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION JUST CAN'T FORGET IT:
oh god, i think i am tumblr-addicted:
I just started another one:
To anyone with a life: really be cautious about starting a Tumblr account. It's beyond sickeningly addicting.
i love it, talk about addicting. i like that it fulfills all my blogging needs without the hugeness of a regular blog.
