UK Elle February 2011 : Cheryl Cole by Jan Welters

Oh god. Who cares?

Read the title, and thought 'Oh no not Cheryl Cole AGAIN'... but it's actually not too bad.

Oh god. Who cares?

Exactly!

That image is from this season's X Factor, 30th of October 2010 to be precise. Or in October she was still allowed to be a chav and just became this amazing style icon according to the mags in the last two months?
To me she has no place anywhere fashion related, if such a pretty girl, with 2 stylists looks like that most of the times, i wonder how she would look if she was left to her own devices.
Well since October seems to have become years :innocent:, this is what she was sporting in mid December for the X factor press conference.

i don't mean to be rude, but OK, i get that you don't like cheryl, in all fairness if you don't like her or her style what is the need to comment at all ?

^ Just wanted to do some bitchy sniping clearly.

Besides, that photo from the press conference isn't even all that bad. It's not my tastes in the slightest, but she doesn't look particularly bad there at all. She has a place in fashion because girls and women up and down the country love every last thing she wears, and look to her style. Wether you like it, or agree with it. That makes her fashion relevant.

Time to move on. Most other people seem to have.

I do love that first shot of Cheryl. All the rest of the shots look pretty good too, I'm pleasantly surprised.

When it comes to the 'Models vs Celebrities' debate... I fall firmly in favour of keeping fashion covers the exclusive preserve of models.

Cheryl looks beautiful here, admittedly, but I just don't want to see her face splashed on ELLE.

I think the cover is a really nice shot. But the second one, she looks surprised, more like scared.

And I love what the person above me said, I am defnitely more up for models being on covers and doing more fashionable stuff, but most people don't know models and they can relate more easily to someone they know. I'm not saying it's correct, i'm just saying it's how it is.

HQ Subscriber's and Collections Supplement:

The cover of that supplement is the sort of image that would make someone's boyfriend wonder what the point of fashion is, because it seems to be a nowhere-world of slightly clunky blandness and silly glasses.

It's not a bad cover, it's quite pretty actually but I'm bored with Cheryl Cole already :|

There's a Chanel Iman cover as well it would seem. There's a little shot of it beside Cheryl's cover on the credits at the front of the magazine.

Even though i don't like Cheryl,i think the cover is lovely. But the editorials seem really really dull

She's really not someone I want to see on the front of fashion magazines. However, the black and white cover does look very nice.

Chanel's ed is perfect, but its very similar to the
collections editorial that Vogue UK always does

i love that shot of Chanel in the Jil Sander. The addition of those glasses was great. This is one of the first shots where i've actually loved Chanel. So Good.

Chanel's editorial is brilliant. Cheryl on the cover... not so brilliant. I'm so glad I'm a subscriber, though, as the subscriber's cover is so much better than the other cover. The black and white is lovely.
