Elle UK have been doing some fantastic stuff with their mens features recently - I loved the piece on Michael Fassbender and can't wait for this one on Tom Hiddleston. Elle UK is always such a great read.

Lily Allen's not exactly the best person to put on a magazine you want me to purchase or re-subscribe to. Another missable purchase for me.. (thus far).

Agreed. I actually like Lily Allen, but her covers never work for me.

Lily has always worked for me as an Elle cover star, but not this time. The subs image is so strange. When she's appeared before she's been shot by Rankin - he really got the best images of her.

Is Lily Allen a viable pop star in the UK? I mean does she have hits on the radio that just don't translate over stateside like say Girls Aloud had or us she more of a tabloid fixture celeb?

Yeah... she's a pretty big star in the UK. She was number one for a few weeks over Christmas, her past albums and singles have always done really well here. She sells very well for Elle UK, that's why we've seen her on there quite as much. It's a shame she's rarely covered much else as she can photograph really well.
