US Vogue February 2012 : Taylor Swift by Mario Testino

Never been a fan of hers, sorry. I don't like the cover either, too bland for my taste. I hope the issue is better than that.

I think it's safe to say that none of us were expecting a cover like this, which is pretty damn awesome compared to the alternative old Hollywood look with tons of shimmer and glitter we're used to seeing when it comes to Taylor.

I really like the cover. It's Taylor Swift and she does alright on the carpet and I enjoy her casual style sometimes too. The one pic we have seen so far is cool. Can't wait to see more.

When I saw the thread title I was seriously considering vomiting, but when I clicked on it...It's pretty, but I just don't see Taylor Swift being on Vogue (then again this is US Vogue).

US Vogue February 2012 Review.

Love In The Afternoon (14p)
M: Lara Stone & Aaron Eckhart
Ph: Peter Lindbergh
Description: Lara with a black/dark brown wig. Typical Lindbergh for Vogue kind-of-storyline. Aaron Eckhart looks good though all gruff'ed up.

Starlight Express
M: Karlie Kloss & Isabeli Fontana (6p)
Ph: David Sims
Description: Typical studio shoot, with extremely big hair. Not teased hair, more like Giampaolo Sgura for Nippon with Pedaru. Karlie looks good though.

The Single Life (7p of photos)
M: Taylor Swift
Ph: Mario Testino

Counter Culture (2p)
M: Anais Pouliot
Ph: Steven Klein.
Description: Close up profile shot of Anais with a big bouffant hair, with translucent scarf, and very dramatic eye make-up and cool shades. Shot in a supermarket aisle.

A Fine Romance (1p)
M: Caroline Trentini
Ph: Craig Mcdean
Description: Portrait of Caroline, wearing a gorgeous royal purple, silk Haider Ackermann blouse. Loose hair, and dark eye-shadows. SIMPLY GORGEOUS!

Reality Star (2p)
M: Alexa Chung
Ph: Norman Jean Roy
Description: Alexa sitting in like a greenhouse, with Jason Wu for Target shirtdress and her own Isabel Marant trenchcoat. She sort of looks like Erin Wasson here.

Bare Minimum (8p)
M: Julia Frauche
Ph: Raymond Meier
Description: The colours are a bit retro, and I thought it was Frida at first. Styling is very 80s, but cool, and they styled her hair to have very blunt, wavy bangs, and wavy all over. Reminiscent of 80s starlet.

I love Taylors editorial. They could of easily just stuck her out in a country field with some old truck, and her guitar. But they went for something different, and I think it worked. Well done IMO.

i am so excited to see eckhart with lara, that is going to be one hot ed. thank you for the review!

i'm not so sure if I'm in love with the cover or not. on one hand, her hair is great & eyes are so mystique and really pulls your attention from the entirety of the cover but then you look at the full cover and she just has this blank stare that makes her look like she doesn't know what she's doing- which I'm sure is not the case. just isn't vogue. maybe teen vogue? haha.

what no arizona muse in this us vogue?
well, excited for lara also

thanks for the review, ash92!
cant wait to see Anais by Steven Klein

Now the editorials excited me!

Phyllis' eds (Klein and McDean) sound really exciting, don't really care about the rest.
