Blesnya is smiling at least. The grunge ennui is so overdone. The dudes in 'Get Ready' are bringing it more than these veteran models are. What the hell does VOGUE see in this daughter of so and so's work?
The garments presented are expectedly lackluster. The images, art direction and fashion styling is completely lifeless and joyless.
I'm not going to read into the typo controversy beyond the info gleaned from tfser comments. However when magazine mastheads are continuously slashed and those remaining are surprise (!) predominantly white staffers who were never familiar with the names of non-western personalities to begin, we should be shocked that these typos ARE NOT more prevalent today across print titles fashion or otherwise.
However, digital "journalism" is even more prone to typos, spacing errors. I read a recent (CNN?) article on Samantha Barry in which the author repeatedly referred to GLAMOUR's publisher as "Conde Naste." So cringe-worthy, I felt embarrassed for the author, who clearly did not keep up with the world of fashion publications.
For a print magazine to remain robust, reputable, relevant, and accurate, multiple-layers of fact checking measures (ie hierarchy of human editors) are vital, as this VOGUE social media controversy proves. But when the revenue isn't there to supply the resources needed, quality suffers. If magazines produced good content, I'd buy more magazines. If magazines produced exceptional content I'd subscribe....It's a lose, lose situation.
The irony of the digital medium which supposedly saves humans unquantifiable amounts of time, doesn't free up enough hours in a day for print staffers to fact check a person's name.
