US Vogue March 2007 : Jennifer Hudson by Annie Leibovitz

That is true, but did you forget- SHE ISN'T A MODEL!
I like Jennifer Hudson, and I always stick by people I like. I have to say the shoot is not her best shoot. Essence shoot is way better than Vogue's even GIANT magazine tops it! It is a bad look for Anna, I like that Jennifer Hudson is getting the last laugh but she could have been laughing harder if the shoot was hot!

MOST of Vogue's actress cover girls aren't models, but they can at least strike decent poses.

Vogue Slammed For Bad Jennifer Hudson Cover Image

Vogue Magazine applauded for selecting curvaceous singer Jennifer Hudson as their March 2007 Cover girl is being slammed by fashion gossips and the African American gossip community for the disastrous image used for the Vogue Magazine March 2007 cover.
The Dreamgirls star appears on the cover of the magazine's annual Power Issue, mouth open, fierce weave and tons of cleavage spilling all over the cover.
Hudson was shot for the publication by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz at Harlem's Apollo Theater in New York.
Pop Black Entertainment Site Concreteloop.com writes
"Why did they pick that photo as the cover? That was messed up! Not one of these pictures are flattering. WTF was Annie Leibovitz smoking that day?"

"It is terrible. It's worse than I expected. What is she doing with her mouth? And why isn't she looking at the camera? I think shes posed like that so that her collarbones stick out, which gives the illusion that shes 'thin'."
Jennifer Hudson is the first African-American singer to appear on the cover of US fashion magazine Vogue and the third African-American celebrity to grace the cover of the fashion bible.

popular fashion community....:woot:

^Yay for TFS, but geez! I really don't think the cover is that bad. It's not the best, but it makes Hudson look very alive, happy, vital. As opposed to Nicole, Renee, etc who always look like death warmed over.

^ yeah I actually agree. I mean I like the idea behind it. It has a lot of energy and vitality as you said. I just think the execution wasn't so great unfortunately =/

oh good lord...that really IS a horrible shot. i don't think Jennifer would be happy with it either.

In a weird way, the cover is slowly growing on me the more times I look at it. Maybe it's like one of those pictures that looks like a jumble of colored dots and lines but if you stare at it long enough you see an actual scene, like a sailboat on a lake? Also, there've been quite a few times when I thought a picture in scanned format or small jpeg format was unimpressive, only to change my mind when I saw it in life-size on the newsstand.

I like Jennifer's Essence cover much better, though. It's great that she's getting all this attention.

I WROTE THAT !!!!! LOL! :woot:  :D

What an ugly, ugly cover...I don't care who they put on the cover but that picture is so bad, it looks like it belong to the cover of Lucky or whatever...no doubt this issue would sell but why must her mouth be open like that in those two pictures...I get it...she sings, but everyone knows it too...looks like I won't be spending my money on any March issue this year

ok can we seriously get over this cover business, ive searched thorugh all the pages of this thread and not a mention of the content.:yuk: [...]

yep there's 15p. of something we don't even know about... and about the new vogue paris... 5p.
but we talk more when you don't know the thing, that when we knows... like God!
i thought that we are supossed 2 be discussing the clothes and photography?
and you forget the models... :innocent:;)

and I repeat what I said but I def. think that Anna made a cover with a "enrobée" girl... because of the anorexic contreverse... don't forget the cover wasn't shoot 2weeks ago... but 2-3 months ago... when the controverse was really big everywhere in the medias... and Anna is like this... making bird finger to all of us!:ninja:

a reminder to stay on topic and keep this thread about the vogue issue...
posts about the movie dreamgirls should be posted in the entertainment spot...
