500 pages? OHMIGOD! That's about as thick as the previous September issue! This is going to be fun.

Tina Fey on the cover of Vogue, fantastic! Can't wait to read the article!

To be fair I never have high hopes for a Vogue US cover unless it's their annual model cover......but as it goes this is better than I would have expected with Tina. Great to see a new celeb as with last month and she does look nice.

I wasn't expecting much when I heard it was Tina Fey ( her Bazaar cover was such a let down), but I like her here. Pretty, yet, it is similar to last months cover.
Can't complain about three new faces on the cover in a row, maybe Vogue is trying!?
Did anyone name the photographer for the cover?

she looks good on it and she seems to be mor einto fashion nowadays...she seems to have pulled a Drew Barrymore

And just as my friend and I were joking about Sandra Bullock getting the power issue again, I find out that the cover star is none other than the most witty, intelligent, and talented woman in the industry today. Vogue really got the subject right this time, so I could care less about what the cover looks like. It's nice that the cover star is someone I actually respect. I'm annoyed by the "who is she" comments. Tina is a woman we should know and admire on some genuine level vs. someone like Lindsay Lohan.

As for the "learning to dress like a star" thing... a bit too late Vogue. Tina dolled herself up a while ago...

Anyway, I hope the contents are good. March has been disappointing me like mad lately, but the last two 2010 issues were stellar so... fingers crossed.

I love her and am happy that she got the cover but I think that particular shot is bad.. the dress looks too big and seaweed-ish, and the makeup makes her look tired and on a rush. Anyway, at least I'm glad it's her, I'll probably pick this up regardless.. I need a ton of ads in my life. :zorro:

would have loved to see more of her outfit, otherwise it's a really refreshing choice for the cover!

Not exactly thrilled to see Tina Fey, I don't get her. The cover is quite nice, love the lighting.
I'm more curious about the content of this issue. US Vogue's model choices have been great lately!

I, personally, love Tina Fey. Her writing and comedic timing are both brilliant, and I'm thrilled to see her on the cover of The Power Issue! Even if the cover is in fact a tad boring, she still looks awesome on it. I can't wait to see the entire editorial!

Refreshing cover choice. Its a pleasant cover. I've grown to not be picky with US Vogue.
I'm just happy it's a new cover choice.

I sort of have to agree with you there, though at the same time I realize Tina Fey not being as high-profile as many other past US Vogue celebrity cover stars will inevitably result in some people really not being familiar with her. After all, she's not exactly famous for her accomplishments in fashion or style (though that isn't to say she has no style ), and for anyone who doesn't actively watch television she will be a strange face. But personally, the way US Vogue is today, it's just all the more reason to applaud them for at least once going for someone who doesn't have the publicity status of Angelina Jolie.

I like Tina so much, but I just hate when fashion magazine has a celebrity on the cover. It is models`spot!

You have a point there, but I'm afraid we've long since passed that with US Vogue. I think both their target and actual readers as a group have long since changed; for them to now suddenly begin to feature more models than famous people would I think considerably reduce the revenue they get from the casual reader/buyer, and of course those who subscribe to the magazine for the very reason that they do so often feature familiar A-listers, which must be a noteworthy, if not necessarily dominant, bunch. Faces familiar to the common reader is just what they're known for today.

since i don't follow the cover rumor thread i was very suprised
i can't wait to see the fashion content, hope there's a meisel editorial inside.

Exactly. At this point imo, we shoudn´t expect anything great from their covers and be surprised when there´s something indeed great. The same goes to other american mags.
At least there´s always something interesting in the contents ^_^

Like what I said, the cover is a bit photoshopped. I'm loving the colors, it's very refreshing and summery. I must agree that it sort of reminds me on one of Anne Hathaway's picture from her spread. And thank God that there's no more number on that cover.

500 pages is like as thick as Michelle's issue from last year, right? I'm really excited to see Tina's full spread and to read her article. I'm pretty sure that Tina has a lot to say and a lot to share. I've never been excited like this since Beyoncé's April Issue.

For sure that this issue will be jam packed with pleasing editorials. US didn't let me down for the past 2 months in editorials. I'm doubting that there will be a Meisel editorial, but I still hope that there will be. Hoping that there's no Karlie, Natalia or Caroline in this issue again. I love them, they're one of my favorites but it's always nice to see fresh new faces.

As for the features, I'm disappointed that Robert Pattinson is really featured. From Bazaar to Vogue? I also love Blake Lively, but her issue last year gave me enough info about her that I don't need another article about her. I'm really excited about how the Blogger's feature turned out. Also excited with the "Model's Off The Catwalk's". Maybe it's a Behind The Scenes for S/S '10?
