US Vogue May 2010 : Sarah Jessica Parker by Mario Testino

May? I thought she was for June?:ermm: Gary101 was wrong.:o:shock::lol:

Cover is.... ok. SJP is nothing to sing and dance about though. But at least it's not T-Swizzle on the cover. She's officially overrated.

I like this. I think the text placement is really good and its minimal compared to what Vogue US usually places on the cover. I can't hate SJP ... she just seems too nice and bubbly for me to hate. And there is no crotch behind her head this time around so plus 1.

Tigerrouge I agree! I can't wait to see the editorials and who will be in them. Honestly, Vogue US has improved so much since 2007 ... I think that was one of its worst years.

I thought Sarah Jessica Parker, " Oh-No! there's no way they'll get it right!"
But I'm happy to say she looks Lovely! First cover I've ever liked with SJP!!
Anyone know who is the photographer?

on a lesser note: kostas0214 can stop with the elephantized watermark!

I don't understand how/why Sarah Jessica Parker is a 'fashion superstar'? Are they referring to Carrie? Or that awful line of clothing she created? Either way, she was barely responsible for either. And don't even get me started on her perfumes.

I'm probably the only one, but I do not appreciate Sarah Jessica. To me she represents a very different calibre of actor/celebrity. She is certainly not on the level of Nicole Kidman or Tilda Swinton or Julianne Moore.

To me, this cover choice screams $$$ and nothing more. She is featured in Vogue because her issues obviously sell well. It's a shame that other talented and more refined women are pushed aside in favour of people like Sarah Jessica.

I don't care for her either, especially not her personal style, but she does look great on the cover. they managed to de-horsefy her well.

I'm surprised this cover is being revealed before May Teen Vogue.

Vogue US can be very repetitive when it comes to the front cover celebrities, but SJP never gets old for me. Absolutely love her.

It's ok. Thank God there's no banner on the masthead:rolleyes:

That's the best thing about this cover...it's been what 2 years since it's been mastheadless? It's not bad, mega cheesy smile but she looks O.K.

I hope that Meisel shot the MET (Great American Women) editorial .

Hm well, at least, she doesn't look like a "transvestite donkey witch" on this cover

Her face's angle looks uncomfortable but that's a lovely cover.

That is a wonderful picture of SJP! The text coloring is too much and completely distracts from the photo, though.

I'm dying!!!!! So lovely  Hope to see the ed soon!

OMG! Now that`s a lovely cover. She looks so happy and free. Loving the covers and the BANNER-FREE masthead. Can`t wait to see the eds

The cover is awful and they have photoshopped her so badly.

Awwww I was hoping for a multiple model cover. D: I hate the cover. The eyes are just bleh.

I was hoping for the models issue in May but at least it's SJP and I love her.

I think it's actually different from what she always does on the cover. Though her photo is photoshopped but she looks young and lively.

And I feel the new direction of Vogue cover after the April issue.

What a surprise. Actually a US Vogue cover I like.
SJP looks really good. Her smile is captivating and fresh. But her skin is airbrushed to perfection. Her skin isn't like that. (Well, no kidding when you consider she's not in her teens anymore)

I agree with you in all points. The cover's a bit on the bland side too but I have high hopes about the content... so hopefully..
