This is the complete Drew Vickers' story from Vogue's site: it's such a shame that US and UK decided to exclude Bibi Breslin from their printed issues respectively! (The same goes for all other international issues except Vogue España.) Also, Awar Odhiang in that off-white McQueen looks spectacular, I'm really struggling to understand in which effing world Devyn Garcia (in tacky Miu Miu) & four buts are more compelling than it!

THE PLACES THEY'LL GO

Drew Vickers
Styling: Malina Joseph Gilchrist
Hair: Karim Belghiran
Make-up: Lynsey Alexander
Models: Ella McCutcheon, Jiahui Zhang, Angelina Kendall, Caroline Trentini, Awar Odhiang, Libby Taverner, Devyn Garcia, Karolina Spakowski, Rosalieke Fuchs, Felipe Vasquez, Paloma Elsesser, Sora Choi & Bibi Breslin

I agree about Awar's and Bibi's exclusion (in the white dress) in US Vogue especially. I would have excluded that shot of Paloma in the burgundy dress looking upwards for sure.

I'ts a shame, those 4 pictures are better than some of the others but I think it was for the continuity.

As You Like It, is the only decent shoot in this entire issue and that’s not saying much. The cover, while I’m happy to see more cover lines is flat I find. They should have added something else like a necklace underneath the jacket or something from Louis Vuitton to give us something else. The rest of the cover story is tired. It’s like everyone has given up.

These two pictures are the best thing they produced in ages. Very VP. Look these are from a different editorial.
Maybe because they look different and don't quite fit in with the rest of the photographs is the reason why they got rejected.

So, in the end, there was no great outcry over US Vogue using artificial backdrops in a fashion editorial, yet they were roasted for running a Guess advert with AI artistry that they only printed rather than produced themselves.

Yes, I am not sure if any of this makes sense to be honest*

*Not your post but people's reaction to the ad vs. editorial.
